Angela Flanders launch Flower Market home fragrance collection

by Judith Brockless, 02nd July, 2019

London-based house Angela Flanders has introduced a new ‘Flower Market’ home fragrance collection, inspired by Columbia Road Flower Market, where the first Angela Flanders shop opened in 1985.

Every Sunday, Columbia Road is transformed by the exuberant scent and sight of blossoming flowers and sumptuous foliage, and buying fresh flowers for the house and the shop has been a weekly tradition.

Each of the six new fragrances (Bluebell, Fern, Lime Flowers, Orange Blossom, Rose and White Lilac) is presented as a candle, a reed diffuser, a hand & body wash, and as a ‘Living Mist’ which can be used as either a room spray or as a light eau de cologne.

Perfumer Kate Evans says of her collection:

Developing the new collection has been a wonderful fragrant journey for me, as we have experienced each fragrance as we developed it. The wonderful fresh scent of Bluebells drifted across the living room as if there was a huge vase of flowers in the room.  The subtle, soft, yet deeply aromatic freshness of Fern was perfect in the study, and the uplifting notes of Orange Blossom wafted about our dining area beautifully. Delicate, powdery and sophisticated White Lilac scented the bedroom delicately, while the uplifting freshness of Lime Flowers was perfect in the bathroom.

The Flower Market Collection candle retails at £30, the 100ml reed diffuser at £35, a 500ml hand & body wash is £25, and a 50ml Living Mist is yours for £35, all available at Angela Flanders, both in store and online.
