Penhaligon's supporting Movember to raise awareness of prostate cancer

Penhaligonís is supporting Movember UK to raise awareness and funds for menís health, specifically prostate cancer. The month formerly known as November is a moustache growing charity initiative held during November each year. Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of menís health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for menís health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.

Throughout November, Penhaligonís will be donating 20% of sales of their shaving products, both online and in their UK boutiques, directly to Movember. In addition, Penhaligonís will also be running their own Moustache Awards to recognise the efforts of Mo Bros across the nation!

To enter the awards Mo Bros need to send Penhaligonís their BM (Before Mo) and AM (After Mo) and even their WIPM (Work In Progress Mo) pictures. Photos can be emailed to [email][/email] or entrants can post on the Penhaligonís Facebook page! Entries must be submitted by midnight on 1st Dec. On Dec 3rd the Penhaligonís team will choose their favourite Mos!

The first prize winner will receive £500 worth of Penhaligonís products and a gold moustache award designed for us by Tatty Devine. 2nd Prize will receive £250 worth of Penhaligonís products and a silver moustache award, while the 3rd prize winner will receive £125 worth of products and a bronze moustache award.

Sartorial inspired Jewelry

In separate Penhaligon's-related-moustache-news (not sure how often we'll get to use that phrase in the future), the company also collaborated with Tatty Devine to produce moustache-based jewelry to promote the latest fragrance, Sartorial. The collection features moustaches big and small made from wood, acrylic and enamelled metal.

        What a great idea and a great cause, although moustaches distress me. (I prefer clean-shaven.)

        I wish Penhaligon's would knock off the Monty Python-esque imagery and give the product the dignity it deserves.

        Sartorial is a wonderful scent and this ad campaign makes me hear "The Liberty Bell March" by Souza.
