  1. Re: Difference between Basenotes and Fragrantica?

This, absolutely. This is mostly why I left Fragrantica.

Basenotes, on the other hand seems to be a bit more sophisticated; for people who view fragrance as art. It does have it's downsides, but...

  64. Re: Online Discounter Sent Me A Tester Instead Of A Retail Bottle. Couple Questions About Testers?

    1. No. They usually come in plain white or cardboard boxes.

    2. Can vary quite a bit. From $10 to even $30 in some cases.
  65. Re: Fragrance Categorization: Redefining what is Niche, Designer, Drug-store

This. People often mistake high prices for high quality as well.
  66. Re: What Descriptions/Comparisons in Fragrance Reviews Annoy You or Leave You Clueless?

Balsamic notes usually smell sort of resinous, like opoponox, myrrh, etc. They smell warm and heavy; they're usually base notes.
  67. Re: Fragrance Categorization: Redefining what is Niche, Designer, Drug-store

    Good question.

However, even though they make some fragrances, I wouldn't consider them a fragrance brand. Fragrances aren't really their speciality, more like beauty and spa stuff.
