Rasasi Tobacco Blaze smells like sitting next to someone wearing a subtly sweet perfume in the back of a limo that hasn’t had the upholstery cleaned in 5 years. Basically a mildly sweet cigar ash...

When I first sampled it, I didn't care for the "cold clove" characteristic. Over the years, the fragrance overall has grown on me and now I wear it every once in a while. The unicorn status isn't...

Agreed, very close. Vintage may have more longevity, but the current is more than respectable overall for $25.
Joined BN in 2014, these were big hype - Bleu de Chanel, Pure Havane, Bvlgari Man in Black, BR 540, Aventus, TF Grey Vetiver

Pretty sure that’s an early 80’s spray. RL used the dark green atomizers on early Cologne spray bottles when before they only offered the Cologne as a splash.

Yes, the drydown is smoother with better blending. The ashy tobacco is stronger as well, especially vintage Warner Polo. Vintage Polo is still widely available on Ebay so finding some should be no...
Same here, wears very light on the skin. Another frag in the same vein, which I prefer over Captain Molyneux, is Charles Jourdan Un Homme. Can be tough to find, but a real vintage gem as far as I'm...

I've purchased from him before. A wholesaler here in Los Angeles, sells mostly testers with a few vintage mixed in. $65 has got to be at least $20 cheaper than retail on this one.

Vintage OMS is strong, very green and animalic in the base. Smells much more natural than the current and lasts all day and then some on clothes. All versions say "highly concentrated" on the label,...
Agreed, I am also grateful that vintage Azzaro pour homme is still plentiful and available online.
I feel for you man, I have never been a fan of Kouros, but I definitely respect the lineage and its reputation as an uncompromising masculine. Happy to hear to found a worthy substitute.
Thanks for the heads up

Disagree. They know exactly how to price their products, especially at department stores where the average customer will spend $80-$150 on a fragrance without hesitation. John Varvatos does the same...

I'll try anything once, but most current stuff I don't vibe with at all. My nose is stuck in the 70's and 80's so anything overly sweet (vanilla!), powdery or drowning in ambroxan I don't care for....

One Man Show: Emerald Edition
Not discontinued, but also not available in the US. I bought it from an Ebay store in India.
A nice scent, nothing like the animalic original though....
I have the first version splash as well, which has patchouli in it. This was later removed in favor of the pumped up "clean laundry" scent of dihydromyrcenol.
I've looked at this one a few times, but the notes list tonka in the base, which will probably kill it for me. How is the sweetness? Is it powdery?
Thanks :coolold:
