Another supporter of Guerlain Heritage. I'd add Chanel Egoiste EDT as another choice.

If you can find the EDT Cologne Concentree those bottles have good performance and longevity.

Congrats on this Body Kouros find from 2003. I've yet to try this scent myself.

I tried the aftershave for Egoiste it was more or less a lighter concentration of it, think EDC. The aftershave of A Gentleman's Cologne would probably would follow suit.

Spot on. To this day I can't fully appreciate the current formulation, it just doesn't have the magical glow like the original formulation.

Does it smell anything remotely similar to Egoiste? bottle is very satisfying to look at.

Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche would be the best choice for scent and performance. Eau Sauvage and Pour Monsieur are good in the earlier formulations.

Bottle looks wonderful, hopefully it smells nice.




For me the original was the most memorable for all the releases. Let us know which ones you like from the set.

It's worth sampling all of these to figure which of these are good to your nose. As for myself IMO none of these are good choices.

Vintage is a lot better than what is available now. As for age group, if the individual enjoys this kind of scent then it shouldn't really matter.

I tend to wear all of my Chanels during the summer - Egoiste EDT, Egoiste Cologne Concentree, Antaeus, Antaeus Sport, Pour Monsieur, Pour Monsieur Cologne Concentree, Allure Homme Edition Blanche,...

The older bottles are good although L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme skews more fresh and floral than citrus.

Personally I would avoid knock offs.

Silver Mountain Water is more wearable of the two as it's more fresh and versatile. I would recommend choosing Xerjoff Mefisto over SMW as they're fairly similar.

I could care less what Creed does anymore, in my eyes they no longer exist.

I'm just happy enjoying their older bottles that I've came across over the years, those are worth collecting.

Both iterations of Pour Monsieur are excellent especially if they appear to be nearly full and perhaps unused. These are worth hoarding for liberal application purposes.
