Beautiful bottles, N.CAL. Will you be able to glue the medallion back on?

Beautiful bottles, N.CAL. Will you be able to glue the medallion back on?
Thank you, PrinceRF.
Thank you, Wingie. For anyone who likes a basic eau de Cologne, especially any of the Guerlain ones, I could see preferring another one but would be hard put to imagine actually disliking it. It’s...
A corner in the bathroom arranged for drive-by perfuming: Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat for a shot of cheerfulness and Idylle edt, springtime in a bottle.

Love the mirrored tray, with its reflections.
Classics! Can’t go wrong with those.
Back in Le Lion, dare I say because it’s my favourite? Time will tell but that’s how I’m feeling right now.
The favourite tea perfume thread led me to spritz on Goutal L’Île au Thé.
I like Goutal L’Île au Thé. It is dry and a little smoky.
The tea scent I’d really love to have is that of the tea now my favourite at home, Do Ghazal (Two Gazelles) black Ceylon. Every time I...
Thank you, khanada. Vanilla Fields, a touch of nostalgia. The "e" on the box, does that mean it was made in Europe? I always thought it was a North American product.
Oh, wait—I just realized—not only scent twins but opening-new-bottles-of twins! :D
So far so good. Enjoy!
Wearing Le Lion from the new bottle. There is still perfume in the small bottle to be finished but I couldn’t resist.
Congrats to all on the beautiful acquisitions!
Smart move backing up the Silver Iris. It is a stunning scent.
My order of Le Lion finally arrived. It also came with a mini of Gardénia.
Congrats on the compliments!
The discussion yesterday led me to wear Chanel 1932 parfum. Along with a kinship I seem to perceive with other Chanel florals, today it is reminding me of 31 rue Cambon as well.
1932 fan here. I think it’s lovely and wearing it got compliments, especially the parfum. It’s true it doesn't get much discussion. I haven’t worn it in a while. That’s because of being besotted with...
Waiting with bated breath for the verdict! :)
Le Lion—today particularly because of the sublimer-than-usual vanilla in it. A particular vanilla note different from others I know of.
I’m wearing Le Lion because all its notes speak to me. Most perfumes I love contain at least one note I don’t like but can be overlooked for the effect of the whole. But with Le Lion, it’s all good.
Wearing Le Lion—still from the old bottle—because I am loving it. My new bottle did not arrive when expected—but it should soon.
Those Fabergé scents were very distinctive—and potent!
Gladly.
Shalimar seems to me evident in the beginning then becomes secondary, peeping out now and then, as the scent develops.
Trilby, if you like Coromandel, Héritage, Patchouli Nobile, Shalimar, etc., it would be surprising if you didn't like Le Lion. It doesn't duplicate any of these but has some element(s) of each in...
Le Lion because a big bottle is being delivered within the next few hours and I don’t have to worry about running out. I love Le Lion—because of that, too.
Thanks for the tip. For starters, I have some older samples of some of the masculine Chanels.
I think it smells like a Chalain or a Guernel... :)
I’m not familiar with LADDM but agreed on Hèritage: down-to-earth and steady as a rock!
Chanel Allure edt because i perceive Allure as a very steadfast kind of scent, suitable for unpredictable times.
If I have smelled Anteus when it first came out it was briefly and I don’t recall. It and other Chanel masculines are actually on my sniff list to familiarize myself with them.
Agree with cazaubon. I don’t find them the same. To my nose Coromandel is more syrupy and Le Lion has more note separation and is a bit drier.
Best wishes for success in the new job, PRF!
Now added Allure edt to the remains of the parfum, for a breath of freshness to go with the freshness of the new-fallen snow outside.
Now wearing Chanel Allure parfum, to be cool, calm and collected.
Guerlain Eau du Coq, jolly Fleurs de Cédrat’s older, more austere brother, for seeing life through serious eyes.
Yet another classic—congrats and enjoy!
That’s hot! Hope you can cool down, CC.
It’s pleasantly cool here at -7°c. Wearing Guerlain Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat because I sometimes associate it with Sunday and relaxation.
I’m not familiar with Neroli Portofino. As far as Mugler Cologne, in the top notes there are some green note similarities with Cologne du Parfumeur but MC soon turns into something less green and...
Happy and Fragrant Birthday, Juxtapozbliss!
Tonight, enjoying the drydown of Le Lion, the leather notes are for the first time very evident to me, and it is a beautiful warm burnished leather.
I’m wearing Le Lion because I’m loving it and, also, exploring it. There are a lot of dimensions to this perfume. Today I’m getting a church incense ambiance, even though no incense is officially in...
Looks nice. Is that a refill bottle?
Thank you, Trilby!
Reinforcements arrived today, for the Permanent Collection: Guerlain Eau du Coq.

Congrats to all. All of the acquisitions look gorgeous. It’s very heartening to see them and imagine the enjoyment they bring.
Khanada, just seeing a Chanel bottle like this makes me want to...
Congrats, CA! Good idea spraying the mask.
How did it work out with rose added, CC? I'm not too familiar with the Jo Malone line in general but I have smelled Orris and Sandalwood and think it's a note match made in heaven. I could see a rose...
Speckmann, at first I thought Le Lion was real strong but after wearing it for a few weeks I find that if not overdosed it soon becomes rather soft. The initial blast mellows in short order but I can...
A green citrusy scent similar to Eau de Campagne could be Guerlain Cologne du Parfumeur by Thierry Wasser. It has the citrusy Guerlain base with predominant green notes. Smelling it I get an image of...
Wearing Chanel Le Lion because it fits so well, and dosing it carefully to last until the end of the month when a large bottle reportedly becomes locally available. I used up a quarter of a 75 ml...
Wearing Chanel Gardénia edp. It has been snowy and it might sound counterintuitive but for me white snow evokes a yen for white flowers.
Excellent practice, carrying reinforcements.
Doggie has excellent taste!
This is the final shot with perfume still left in the small bottle of vintage Chanel No 5 I finished on New Year's Eve and Day.

Nice, it's like little scent islands. I also like the burnished colour tones of the photo.
New Year’s greetings! Wearing the limpid Guerlain Eau du Coq, my all-time favourite eau de Cologne for clear sailing into 2021!
Something to look forward to!
Well, It’s January 1st and I’ve finished a bottle, as noted above: vintage No 5 parfum. I love the little dabber bottle and will refill it with newer stock.

Continuing on with vintage Chanel No 5 parfum for the trip into 2021.
Happy Perfume Year!
By mod request, “Today I finished” is going yearly, and this is the new thread for perfume finished in 2021.
For New Year’s I will be saying goodbye to a great batch of...
Wearing Chanel No 5 parfum, an old and dear friend from the Permanent Collection, as nostalgia reigns toward year’s end.
Chanel Beige edp, because another thread reminded me of how much I love it.
Waterman has a long history and good reputation for quality. Their website says their fine pens are made in France. Maybe that means they have some lower-end lines made elsewhere. It's true that...
i can't remember what I was thinking then—I may have done it on a dare—but your question prompted me to get up in the middle of the night and spray on some Beige (three spritzes ).
A different breeze of freshness: Guerlain Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat, for cologne clarity with a cheerful twist of orange.
A refreshing shot of Guerlain Eau du Coq.
On a snowy Boxing Day, going with Chanel Gardénia edp. I really want to wear Le Lion but I'm going through the 75ml bottle too fast. Have to slow down to make it last until I can get a big bottle....
Lovely refreshing photo, FWV!
Good choice, Starblind, as a Christmas scent and as a favourite!
Also in Chanel, Le Lion, as expected. It s a very friendly lion!
Yes, but it’s Merry Fahrenheit Friday!
Awoke at 5:12 a.m. on Christmas morn, just like in childhood. Back then the perfume gifts weren’t (yet) for me. Got up and spritzed on some Le Lion. Merry Christmas!
Belle Amie
Wearing Chanel Le Lion, as it turns out, for its comfortability. I don’t remember ever having a perfume that felt so comfortable and familiar right off the bat, like your favourite jacket.
I was going to buy Le Lion blind because taking into consideration all the contradictory descriptions out there, there wasn’t one I thought I wouldn’t like. As it turned out, I received a sample from...
Sicknomore (LE specially adapted by Chanel for 2021)
Wearing Le Lion, because it’s feeling kind of signature-like.
Hednic, I never thought we’d be scent twins because most of your perfumes are beyond my knowledge. Cheers!
Congrats, Trilby! Those are some intriguing names. I’m not familiar with any of them and look forward to your future comments as they are worn.
Chanel Le Lion—because it fits like a glove. Aiming for the neck, I accidentally sprayed it into my ear. I think I can hear it...a dull roar...
That will be the beat-smelling truck on the road. Bon voyage!
I saw the photo you posted on the Today I Bought thread. Looks to be gorgeous!
Yikes! Thanks for the heads up. I am planning to add a 200 ml but wanted to wait until they get it in Montréal. But that is probably when the price increase would also kick in. (Puts thinking cap...
Le Lion because I am loving it. This is one of those days when I feel like pouring a whole bottle of perfume over my head. Fortunately the bottle has a permanently attached spray mechanism, curbing...
Congrats, aero58! As Trilby says, we both have it as well. Please post your impressions. My guess: you'll like it! To my nose it's a very natural patchouli.
Since Le Lion arrived it has taken top priority as the likely Christmas scent. Wearing it now, loving it, and at this point have no intention to go elsewhere.
Today is the first full wearing of Le Lion. I find in the drydown some similarities to that of Cuir de Russie, which, by a happy coincidence, is my favourite Chanel drydown. Nothing to complain about...
Today inaugurating...

I think a new code is needed for that phraseology! 😊
I hope Chanel comes out with a special anniversary presentation. I’m due for a new bottle soon!
Finishing a bottle of Coromandel edt. (I still have minis and samples if needed in future.)
One caveat I would add, however: A little goes a long way!
Thank you, CA, and congrats to you!
There had been approximately an inch/2.54 cm of Coromandel sitting in this bottle for about eight years and it was time... After eight years, it smelled better than ever!

Sounds like it smells wonderful on you. Enjoy!
Thanks, N.CAL! I take your advice to heart: I've been sharing them in every thread on Le Lion I can find! 😄
Thanks, cazaubon! Congrats to you on a multiple coup!
If they didn’t send it as a reward, they should have!
Nastka, I think “cloying“ can be a matter of degree, depending on the tolerance of the individual. In my case, although it does devolve into mellow amber and vanilla notes, I don’t find it cloying...
Wearing Coromandel, topped up with a few drops of Le Lion, which arrived today. Yay! I want to wear Le Lion full speed ahead but will finish the bottle of Coromandel first. Can’t go wrong with either...
I got the 75 ml, hednic, because I wanted it before Christmas, but assuming I continue to like it, I wanted to save getting the 200 ml from the local boutique when they get it. They have been very...
