Default If you were to create a fragrance, what would you create?

My fragrance would be called, étendue infinie (Infinite Expanse). Inspired by a clearing in the middle of a pine forest, up in the mountains, at dusk. Surrounded on all sides except for in front by forest, the clearing seems to extend indefinitely. At once overwhelmingly desolate, beautiful, and yet comforting, for you're small cabin lies just behind you, billowing puffs of smoke out it's chimney. The notes are as follows:

Top Notes: Pine, Petit Grain, Fir, Grass
Middle Notes: Juniper, Magnolia, Tobacco, Neroli
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Vetiver

I apologize if the above notes wouldn't work together, I don't know how to make fragrances, I'm just going by what sounds good. What would you make?

No offense but the marketing copy already sounds more like Eau de Thomas Kincaid.

    But the notes sound divine!

Thanks Griff! I'm not joking though, I was just sitting thinking of something for a fragrance, and then that exact scene popped into my head. Oh well...

No worries. We all envision entirely different smellscapes when experiencing a fragrance. I still think your note pyramid is extremely intriguing. If I had to add one thing....a bit of neroli in the middle. It changes the landscape to something a bit less verdent and ok, I will say it... kitschy!

Three notes: birch tar, castoreum and immortelle.

Just a crazy idea that popped into my head.

I would want something akin to a traditional eaux that had some aromatic herbs in it. Something like a combination of Penhaligons Castile and Villoresi Uomo. And of course, it needs to last at least 8 hours.

I would create a floral oriental with the following notes:

    Aldehydes, bergamot, cardamom, iris
    Tuberose, iris
Birch tar, oakmoss, vetiver, labdanum, vanilla, violet, civet, beeswax, heliotrope, iris

    ummm....yeeeeaaahhhhh

I have actually quite few fragrance names and styles in my head (not the chemical formulation though, just some very vague and general concepts).
Yet, the ideal frag I would create at all costs and as a main priority would be the most elegant, formal and extremely conservative citrus chypre ever to exist on this planet.

I am definitely no perfumer but I would like ......in a perfect world...to create my own version of a gardenia scent- a well rounded gardenia soliflore with top notch ingredients ( not necessarily natural ingredients ) that lasts and lasts and a good deep drydown .
Petty small minded people have no place in my life.

    A great leather/citrus combined with a incensy/resinous drydown.

Eau Sauvage FC with Avignon ending and maybe a little Wazama all the way through

As per my previous thread, I would create a frag that smells exactly like you had just smoked a cigarette, nothing more, nothing less!
