Default FRANK NO.2 by FRANK los angeles

    Hello Basenoters,

I thought I had posted on this beauty but can't find it. Perhaps I'm going a little mental.

I'm wearing said fragrance today where it's wet and with a chill in the air. Frank no.2 has three elements that I love- Plum, cognac and coffee. I also get some tobacco but I'm not sure if it's listed in the notes.

This is boozy, masculine and a sexy fragrance for a man. Longevity on me is fantastic- I can still smell it twelve hours after applying and it radiates beautifully.

I think this fragrance gets missed out there and that's a shame if this is your sort of thing. To me it's such a 'grounded' fragrance, rich yet it never becomes too much. I would even suggest a hint of mystery in it's flavour.

If you're looking for a boozy scent with sex appeal I suggest trying this. Luckyscent sells it cheaply.

    Best wishes,

    K.

I agree. No. 2 is a great scent and often overlooked on here. I initially tested it via a sample from Luckyscent, then after sending Frank an email, they sent a generous few samples of all their scents.

I love it! It was my first niche fragrance. Overlooked for sure.

That's good to know. I tried a couple of their scents through Luckyscent, but there wasn't enough juice to really get much of a lasting impression.

I didn't particularly care for it. It's been awhile now so I can't say exactly what I didn't like about it other than I didn't like it.

You really need to give this one a few full wearings. It's hard to get a good picture of anything with a small vial as, IMO, you need to apply openly to get the full experience.

I thought Frank no.2 would get a little more love here! It's certainly worth it if you love the notes discussed earlier IMO.

One of the best fragrances under $75 on the market IMO.

Smelled similar to CDG 2 Man minus the smoky vibe.

I just got my sample in the mail today and here are my thoughts: This reminds me very much of Michael by Michael Kors, but with a leathery coffee note added to it. Also, if you are disappointed with the longevity and projection of Michael, then you savior is in Frank No. 2, I got about 6 1/2 hrs. from a sample on my wrist which usually equates to about 8 hrs for me in a full wearing. Its definitely a classier version of Michael, and for $65 for 65mls, you cant beat the deal. 3.75/5
