Moresque, Lady Tubereuse -not (yet) in database-; although the opening is bordering on 'too sweet', the middle and drytown are heavenly.

Wearing Eau de Vetyver by l'Occitane turned out to be quite a low key though still enjoyable rediscovery of quality vetiver notes.
Of the earthier and still smooth type, while ideal for cool, damp autumns as well as during most of the year.

Remy Latour Cigarillo, discontinued 1996 flanker to "Cigar."

Totally different fragrance, much more formal and very enjoyable on a cool evening

Certainly not for everyone, it smells like something from the Orto Parisi line

yes, it's a bit less original than Orto Parisi, but I can see the comparison

Musc ravageur - Frederic Malle: Like TV vanille, it was wow and a first timer for me. Was very curious to try it because they're soooo many reviews on it. But a lot of reviews i couldn't understand too well. Or at least, I didn't understand the fragrance. "animalic", "dirty", "super musky-rich-vanillic" etc.. etc... So I was expecting something very powdery (why? I don't know), almost sticky, in your face. But what I got is a comforting, festive scent with nice cinnamon note and a non-offensive clove note. A nice surprise that is a heavy contender along TV for my next winter (I wrote winner, nice lapsus) holiday/week-end frag (both in decant, full retail are juste too much imo)

Terre d'Hermes EDT - Light, crisp, clean, and elegant. Brighter and shorter lived than the Parfum; fills a certain spot in my wardrobe better than the Parfum IMO.

My sample library has revealed a few winners of late, but only one has led to a purchase thus far: Le Galion Eau Noble (vintage). Paul Vacher's tribute to/knockoff of Eau Sauvage is top-drawer stuff—and since I bought a pint, it's gonna have to be a deep drawer.

Almost forgot: sampling Guerlain Sous le Vent led me to a procure a big bottle of copper-top Eau d'Hermès to facilitate a swap!

Can't go wrong with this one, this one can easily be a lazy reach - wear days at a time.

Interesting, haven't encountered too many disliking tobacco vanille. Do you prefer Tabac Rouge or isn't those kind of orientals not your style?

    Ormonde Jayne - Ambre Royal
strong anise accord at the opening that dampens in the DD and a sublime opulent background
    not really "ambery" though
    just amazing scent

I also tried Kilian Liaisons dangereuses but I wasn't impressed with it, very basic, smelled a hundred times already
