    Default Winter/Cold Frags

What are your go to scents for bone-chilling cold weather? My personal favorite so far is Journey Man by Amouage. Tons of cured sweet tobacco leaf, dense lumber, incense and spice, all playing in harmony with each other. It might be even too well blended due to it's linearity, but it's a powerhouse, love this stuff. Masculinity in a bottle.

No scent in particular for the winter or colds months. Anything from my collection works well.

You don't mind the performance issues you get from lighter scents in dry/cold weather?

In winter I go for my favourite comforting ones more often than none in our cold as balls winters here:

    - Guerlain's LIDGE: Nothing else needs to be said about this masterpiece.
    - Vintage YSL M7
    - Hanae Mori HIM EDP: I'm loving it!
    - Tom Ford is (are) a master for these: Tobacco Vanille, Noir de Noir, Noir EDP, Men Extreme, Amber Absolute and even Tuscan Leather
    - Amouage Jubilation, Epic & Interlude
    - Nasomatto Pardon
    - Mugler A*Men
    - Armani Privé Myrrhe Impériale
    - Annick Goutal Sables
    - Tauer L'Air du Désert Maroccain
    - Carolina Herrera CH For Men
    - Valentino Uomo

    - Creed Aventus (I don't enjoy it in warmer weather)

Those are the first ones coming to my mind.

A*Men, New Haarlem, and Antaeus are my usual go-to's.
Just got 24 Gold, and haven't worn it much, but can already tell it's too is very well suited to extremely cold weather.

I can't stand cold weather and go for warm comforting and gourmand types. Usually vanilla, amber, coffee, etc. like Jacomo for men, Zino, CdG, Zen, Opium, and the like. I don't like citrus or fresh scents during this time. However there are exceptions if I'm forced due to a particular occasion.
Interesting, I enjoy tobacco scents during warmer weather especially if humid.
Currently wearing: Zen for Men by Shiseido

    I'd also go for something warm and comforting, and like woody, leather and spicy scents. My favorites on a cold weather day are;
    Burberry - London
    Guerlain - L'Instant de Guerlain
    Dior - Fahrenheit
    Caron - Yatagan
    L'Occitane - Eau des Baux
    Bvlgari - Pour Homme Soir
    Chanel - Egoiste

It has been a very cold winter here, consistently -30C for the past few months. I wore lots of the following and found them cut through the cold (even -30C) no problem!

    Jaipur Homme EDP
    Dior Homme Intense
    TM Pure Havane
    Hilde Soliani Bell'Antonio
Roja Dove Fetish and Reckless PH Parfum
    Kilian A Taste of Heaven

This past winter i went very heavy in usage on my incense collection, with the most wearings going to Rundholz Apr.6.1968 and Robert Piguet Casbah just behind.

Basara by Shiseido and Opium EdP by YSL are very 'warm'. I like spicy scents in cold weather.
    Number of sprays N = {(6-L)x(7-P)}/2 (where L = longevity and P = projection, on a scale of 1-5).

Need to get my nose on Interlude, it seems right up my alley. I love citrus, but nothing seems to last in the bitter cold and dryness. Maybe I need to get some extrait de parfum.

I do apply an unscented lotion sometimes during my morning routine, but not always. Just lucky I guess.

Anything with coffee, vanilla, or incense as major notes does it for me. I find the honey and vanilla in Ambre Narguile to be particularly comforting during our brutal Canadian winters.
    Current Top Picks:

    Viktor & Rolf - Spicebomb
Guerlain - Habit Rouge Dress Code
Dolce & Gabbana - The One EDP
    Hermes- Ambre Narguile
    Parfums de Marly - Herod
    Christian Dior - Fève Délicieuse
    Parfums de Marly - Oajan
Imaginary Authors - Memoirs of a Trespasser
    Montale - Aoud Leather
    Creed - Aventus
