Same. I only ever buy fragrances that I truly, absolutely love.

This. Reaching for them is important otherwise what's the point in having them?

I’ve repurchased Fahrenheit and 1 Million in the last week. I probably buy and sell them once a year. Crazy? I say...yes!

I remember you saying close to a year ago, you bought Fahrenheit from CVS. You didn't keep that bottle?

I hear ya, I had so much 17W11 and other recent batches forward back then 1 flacon or more a few years ago just because I could haha. Currently have none do miss that epic pineapple in 17W11 though!

17W11 is a gem. Almost had a gourmand vibe to it. That was one of many I got rid of. Now that my wardrobe has expanded quite a bit, I'm pretty confident 200mls of Aventus ought to last me a good while. Still, Aventus remains my Swiss Army scent (with GIT close behind). I can wear it for any occasion - dates, meetings, weddings, errands, etc. It also has yet to come across as generic to my nose as many versatile frags often do.

A really kind business associate of mine just left my office. She wears perfume so heavily that you can smell and almost taste it for over an hour after she leaves. No joke. She's an awesome person, she just needs to cut the sprays at least in half!

That's too bad. Looks painful. Is it a specific perfume or all of them?

Hmm... I judge others for not keeping the boxes and/or if they openly store their fragrances (on top of dresser, in the restroom, in a glass cabinet that's viewable).

I just simply don't understand how people can be involved in the hobby, spend thousands of dollars on a collection, and KNOW the harm of UV and such - but still display the collection. The aesthetic appeal is just not worth the degradation over time.

Agreed. It’s the extremely cool, dark closet for me. It’s displayed in a pretty fashion on my closet shelves, but the only light happens when I turn on my closet light. Must protect the precious!

I only get irritated in areas where there's been repeated exposure.

In the summer it's better because I can also use the biceps and shoulders, which were not irritated half a year, while it was cold and I wore long sleeves. By the end of the summer, I'm starting to get irritation in those parts, too.
But when it's cold I'm using only the wrists and forearms, so I start getting constant burns.

The worst was on the chest. After a week I wanted to rip off my skin. I've never sprayed on my chest again.

No, it's just a mild constant itchiness. I have high pain tolerance.
From Amouage Epic and Guerlain L'eau Boisee instead my hand swells badly.

This morning I took the bag with about 20 perfume boxes to the trash. They'd been on the balcony for a couple of weeks.
I kept only the Portrait Of The Lady box, because I can use it to store samples. Amouage-like boxes are useless. Or from Laurent Mazzone Black Oud, the box was beautiful, velvet covered, magnetic closure, but I could not use it because it opened somehow diagonally. I can't find a picture.

I keep the perfumes in the closet.
