Default Histoires De Parfums - your favorites?

I'm falling for 1725 in a big way.

I was at Sephora and noticed they sell the HdP Discovery Set. For $16, it's a good deal and I'm tempted, especially since my 1725 sample is almost gone and I haven't been able to decide if it's bottle worthy for me yet. I may need another sample first. I wish more houses sold discovery sampler sets!

What are your favorites from HdP?
Current Favorites (in no particular order)
    Castile
    Boy Chanel
    Royal Oud
    Endymion
    Petit Matin
    Curve

    Reflection Man
    Green Irish Tweed
    Interlude Man
    Chanel Eau De Cologne
    Terre d'Hermes Parfum
    Aqua Celestia
    Hanae Mori H.M. EDT
    Pomelo Paradis

That Sephora set is a great deal. While I respect many from this house, including Hemingway and Jules Verne, my favorite is 1740 Marquis de Sade. It's a very "niche" scent however, so it might not have widespread appeal.

I need to revisit 1725 again because it has escaped my mind but have always love Ambre 114.

I am dying to try Fidelis. Have you seen it at Sephora?

Agree with you on the discovery sets - I nearly always take advantage of them but not enough houses do them

Hdp at sephora? wow, they have made quite a jump in distribution... Favorites:

1740: smooth immortelle, leather, and tobacco
1969: fruity (in part I like it because it's my birthyear, though)
Tubereuse 3 la animale: musky tuberose

    Also:
Petroleum: aquatic oud, very strange, to the limit of wearability, but worth smelling (in the -m range, Rosam is more wearable)
    1876: woody, spicy, masculine rose

I think Sephora is making an effort to go a bit more upscale - but I could be wrong. They carry some Atelier Cologne too. And they had an Etat Libre d`Orange sampler too, come to think of it.

I don't think I have ever been in a sephora. Maybe I should sometime.

    I do like these:

    1899 Hemingway
    Ambre 114
    Veni

1725 is nice, but I think others do it better.
1828 - verdict still out on this one.

The others are OK, but not quite my taste.
    Current Winter Favorites:

    1. House of Matriarch - Blackbird
    2. Brückner - Aoud 1
    3. Creed - Royal Oud
    4. Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 - Generation Man
    5. Armani Privé - Oud Royal
    6. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
    7. Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 - Mortal Skin
    8. Creed - Royal English Leather
    9. Creed - Bois du Portugal
    10. by Kilian - Cruel Intentions

Definitely get the Sephora set; I have it and enjoy it. It's a great deal. I enjoy 1725, Ambre 114, and 1969.
My only regrets in life are the people I haven't stood up for,
and the perfumes I've thrown away.

Well, not the Sephoras here in DC for sure. (here they have at most CDG and Atelier). But who knows, I guess I'll just drop by if I happen to walk by.
Luckily, here in DC HdP is now carried by Parfums de France, and I got a $10 discount on the 50ml.

Can't stand 114. Profumum Roma's Ambre Aura is miles better to me. Don't see why it's so highly regarded amongst the top ambers...
