    Acqua di Gio

I don't recall smelling this in the 90s, but around 2001-2004 a lot of guys were wearing this. So to me, this reminds me of the early 2000s.

Givenchy Pour Homme/CK Contradiction for Men
These aren't fragrances that I necessarily like or wear, but they remind me a lot of this era as well. I distinctly remember seeing the Givenchy Pour Homme bottle in Macy's at the time and that synthetic chemical woody smell is something I also associate with the era.

CK Contradiction for Men, again, really synthetic and chemical. A lot of the music videos and magazine ads from 99/2000 and up seemed to play up that silver/platinum, space-age look, and chemical synthetic smelling men's cologne seems to be the olfactory equivalent of that.

I donít understand. It is so vast that surpasses all understanding.Understanding is always limited. But not understanding can have no boundaries.I feel like I'm much more complete when I don't understand. Not understanding, like I say,is a gift. Not understanding, but not as a simple-minded.The good thing is to be intelligent and not understand. It's a strange blessing, like having craziness without being crazy. It is a meek disinterest,it is a stupid sweetness.

As for germany or europe in general

Early 2000s, I think Le Male was very big. The biggest fragrance, actually.
Acqua di Gio was popular too but it wasnt as successful as in the US.
Joop Homme and Cool Water also were still very common in the early 2000s.
Oh and I almost forgot Boss Bottled, Boss Hugo and CK one.
