Default A little bit of smoke

Im wearing tom ford noir pour femme today and really enjoying it. Haven't worn this in months.

I really like the smoke effect this scent has. Its there but its not overpowering. I dont like scents that are over the top smoky.

What other scents have this touch of smoke?

And I should say my words are probably wrong. I like how grey vetiver also has that touch of smoke- though i know it may not always be smoke but an incense or a vetiver that gives it that effect.

Vintage Polo has a nice smokiness to it. Not sure if it's still there.

    Definitely agreed about CdG 2MAN.

Not sure if my memories of Egoiste are deceiving me, but when I wear too much, I seem to recall a smokiness behind the rose.

I don't find smoke in this at all. It's rather sweet, syrupy, candy-like to me; obviously scents are very subjective; is it because mine is a sample decant?

I don't get much smoke either, but there is a bit of incense hidden in all that amber (it's the Amber that's giving you that sweetness).

Or Blackpepper which is in the same ballpark but less aggressively smoky/tarry.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.
