Lately I've been testing many fragrances from the House of Kerosene. I've been obsessing over which one(s) to get. The range is so diverse, and suits my taste so well, that I feel I could live with it exclusively for a very long time.

I find that Creed really does have some sort of undefinable repeatable element for me, pretty well across the catalogue, that a lot of other houses can't quite match. Also, I live in a hot climate and they do light and airy as well as anyone. Push come to shove, they get the nod from me.

Though I could easily make it work with Roja Dove or Chanel, too.

It must be Guerlain - it has lots of beautiful citruses (Aqua Allegoria line), the prettiest and cosiest vanilla (almost everything else!) and the mother of orientals (Shalimar!) - and these are the main things that are important in perfumes for me. Citruses, orientals and cozy vanilla - and Guerlain more than covers them all. I love both their classics and new stuff.
I would miss Gucci Guilty Absolute pour femme, Molinard Les Amoureux de Peynet and Narciso Rodriguez For Her though - these three are probably my top favourites. But I guess I could find alternatives for them (alternatives, not replacements, but still!) in Guerlain catalogue too in Idylle for elegant musky osmanthus, Aqua Allegoria Bergamote Calabria/Ginger Piccante for astringent/uplifting freshness and maybe Rose Barbare/Cuir Beluga/??? for the aspects of deep, woody, leathery, unsweet-berry like rose of Guilty Absolute.

This house has me very intrigued, also. I'm a coffee lover, so when I realized that Bond 9 New Haarlem was simply out of the question I turned my thoughts to Follow by Kerosene. Copper Skies caught my eye as well. I don't know why I haven't pulled the trigger yet....
