Are they counterfeiting the Parfum yet? I have seen very few discounters and Fragrancenet has jacked the price up so that with the discount it equals what I can get it for at Sephora and in that case, I would order from Dior directly. Have seen some testers and new boxes in the $70 to $89 range for 100ml (regularly $125 I think) so I want to careful with the 'bay.

Fragrancenet just listed unboxed 100ml bottles on eBay, no picture of course going to send them a message need to know which version they are offering!

I saw $119. it's only $105 at Sephora for 3.4 oz. Dior offers free shipping and no tax

Mmmmh, yes I'm getting this vanillic sweetness. Jury's out still.

I tried the EDT version and loved it for the first two hours. Totally blew me away! But after those two hours, all I was left with was a strong floral scent and I didn't like it. Is the parfum version likely to give me the same strong floral dry down?

There's nothing floral about the dry down of either version of the Parfum. They're both very resinous with vetiver: Myrrh in the 2012 and Elemi resin in the 2017. Amazingly the dry downs of both smell very similar to me, with the 2017 version being slightly less sweet than the 2012.

The Parfum has nothing floral going on, drydown is myrrh and vetiver the 2017 version opens with citrus’s and drys down to myrrh and vetiver.

I'm near to saying the very same. I know only the 2017 Parfum, but from my sample it's that good.

+2 it’s a shame they have discontinued both 2012 and 2017, I prefer the 2012 and hope something similar is in the works from Dior. With more advertising and a chance for it to grab traction I feel both would have been a solid seller. Sauvage is their big seller but not everyone wants a fresh loud fragrance, dark deep masculine fragrances are still desired and Dior needs a few in their signature lineup.

I'm bummed both 2012 and 2017 seem unobtainable. I see one website selling it, but checking their rep online, it's a mixed bag of mostly bad reviews and I'm not going to chance it.

I'm plenty pleased with the EdT though.
Between Covid and retirement I don't get out much. But when I do, I smell real good.

I'm in the UK, Its available at all regular stockists at the moment.
I did shoot Dior an email last year because someone else mentioned it had been discontinued but I was assured that it wasnt.
I think it may have been nixed for the North American market, Dior are like that sometimes. I dont even think the Cologne version was ever widely released in North America which is a shame as its another one I love.

Thinking of getting a bottle. Not cheap though, $AUD 165 for a 100ml.

Danny, I got a 100 ml bottle from FragranceX for $110 (shipping and taxes included) in April. If you sign up to receive a notice when it's back in stock, they'll let you know. I'm not sure how often they stock it. The bottle I got was a fresh 2020 batch.

That's a good price for either version, as long as it's the parfum.

Is this once more damned scaremongering and production happens in phases or is there merit to this and reliable sources were not presented out of, what do I know, laziness?

Fellas what are we referring to lol? 2012 long discontinued a shame but true, 2017 still obtainable but snatch up the ones you find since that one is rumored to be discontinued or tight distribution.

Especially in the U.S. Extremely hard to snag here.

I recently scored a bottle from a private seller.

I don't know if it's officially discontinued or not, but I don't see at any usual retailers online or otherwise.
