Coup de Foudre cologne was my favorite from the cologne collection, I wore it a lot I the spring. I despised Moss Cologne from my sample, but I need to revisit. I had similar feelings towards L’huere Exquise at first, now I’m obsessed with it.

    That's smart - I also have done 180-degree-turns on some Bortnikoff's.

I LOVE Oud monarch. It wears so easy, especially when you consider the animalics and ouds aren’t hidden at all. IMO, it’s not even close. Congrats!

I wore SN today, for the first time I 'dabbed' it on (rather than spraying it) and I enjoyed it a bit more. It wasn't quite so tight and didn't have that sticky feel from previous wearings. Mind you, it's very warm here in Miami now - so I was inside in AC all day. Nonetheless, I feel like I am going to explore wearing it like this in the future and hopefully it will present the fragrance a bit more comfortably than it did in the past.

Sayat Nova is a fine fragrance although I wasn’t wild about it the first couple times I wore it. This Fall it has seemed to find it’s sea legs and is settling in quite nicely... Having said that, it’s sort of an anomaly for Bortnikoff and not one I’d typically recommend for someone who isn’t super experienced with the house. Oud Monarch on the other hand is a great representative of what Dmitry does with Oud and is very ‘Bortnikoff’. The Oud is much more prominent in OM whereas it’s barely detectable in SN (which also calls into question the value proposition between the two, imo).

All of this to say I think you made a great choice!

Tried Moss Cologne in the cooler weather (33 degrees Fahrenheit, i guess some of you may call that "cold" rather than "cool") and it still isnt for me. Something sharp and kind of sour on my skin that i just cant click with.

I love some of the fragrances Bortnikoff makes, but there are some aspects of his business I do not like. Namely the unstructured logistics and the poor communication, at times. If they posted an ad saying it would be available on the 29th, then where is it???? It’s not on his website and it’s also not on Luckyscent. Upscale niche houses generally do not name a release date and then just let the date come and go without releasing the products. And remember, he originally said it would be released “around the weekend” meaning this past weekend..... These items are too expensive to not be professional in every aspect of the business.

Hold on, Dimitry didn’t exactly specify the time did he? Technically it’s still 29/10 in the Western hemisphere... Here on the equator, he has 15 minutes left remaining on 29/10.

Unprofessional. If you claim something will be available on the 29th then it should be available at the start of the day unless you specify otherwise. Also, his last 15 minutes are up, so there’s that too.....

Were the bottle prices ever mentioned?
Rare, vintage, and niche off-site sales.
    Big list of niche splits.
