Bortnikoff perfumes (take note Areej le Dore fans!)

Hello Guys first post here in basenotes!!

my Frag Journey started just 6 months ago but my oud journey just 1 month ago via Bortnikoff sampling and oh my oh my.... it is a completely different world from any other frag even niche ones and def cannot go back to anything else than natural artisanal perfumes.. was lucky enough as well to get last bottle of Kinam Attar from Taha two weeks ago and bought my first ensar perfume during the same period 10ml of private blend...

Have to say this is turning out to be kind of an expensive hobby lol but it completely changed the moods of my days...now first thing I think before going to sleep is what do I wear tomorrow? le me think... )...and I love it!!!

I have tried via ecuacion natural 5ml srays of Oud monarch, oud maximus, misterious oud, oud loukum, amber cologne.. love them all apart from loukum that to me is very medicinal and reminds me of hospital scent or something to do with medicinal things also I find it very close to Rogue mousse illumine that I dislike for the same reason... Got some others as well in splash format loved musk khabib, chypre du nord especially.

Now next month I wanted to pull the trigger for some bottles but then I have seen the attars and saw that the price is quite more convenient than the bottles and 3ml should be roughly like 30ml of extrait.

Anyone can tell me what are the differences between the attars and the extrait regarding overall smell sillage power etc? Do they perform more or less the same or are they very different?

Attars are closer to the skin. Far less projection.

I have a 5ml deant spray of misterious oud current version.. anyone here has tried the first edition and this current version as well and can tell me if the first is better? might have the occasion to buy the first edition bottle

I never really cared for florals and it took me several times wearing amber cologne, but it has grown on me quite a bit. The dry down is absolutely addictive

Definitely get the big red gum vibe and love that this ones a little more subtle, such an easy wear and seems like a "compliment getter"

For one reason or another, the message boards don’t really give Bortnikoff as much love as his contemporaries but there are tons of gems in this house.

I must admit I am struggling to like Sans Fleurs Extrait. I wore it before I hopped into bed and it felt dense, sticky, solid and sort of boring.

Sadly the last series all three ventures including San Fleurs were a little meh to me. His early work still speaks volumes of his blending skills and I hope he returns to this form.
