CdF is a real gem for sure. I just ordered a bottle of the EdP version myself a couple of weeks ago, together with a bottle of Vesna Cologne.
I own the extrait version of CdF, which is lovely as well. The EdP will be a nice edition and more suitable for the warmer season.

Boring was the first thing I thought when I tested it for the first time too. It felt boring and linear.
It's lacking that something special that I think usually can be found in Dmitrys scents.

New release from Bortnikoff, Oud Cologne.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CNnT_n7B...=1c6kf7ftl8w2y

"Nobody is more dedicated to the idea of making a pleasant and wearable perfume with natural Oud oil, than I am.

Amber Cologne and Musk Cologne are some of the most popular fragrances that I’ve created. And I believe, I know why. My Colognes are authentic and wearable at the same time. You don’t need to choose, when to use them, because every season, every climate, every situation suits them perfectly well.

Today I’m very excited to present my new cologne — Oud Cologne.

I have created a mix of Oud oils of purest quality, which has beautiful woody scent with no animalic aspects, and blended it with unique Benzoin from Siam and green and fresh Juniper Berries. You can feel the sparkle and the liveliness of freshly picked citruses on the top. Bergamot and Grapefruit are like the rays of sun shining through the whole composition, rich with woody and green tones.

Top Notes: Bergamot, White Grapefruit, Bitter Orange, Juniper Berries, Pink Pepper
Heart Notes: Pine Needles, Geranium, Rose, Nutmeg
Base Notes: White Ambergris, Benzoin from Siam, Wild Oud from Thailand, Tonka Beans, Vetiver
    "
If you can smell me you're too close.
Scent is an exercise in patience and imagination.

Totally agree. The new Oud Cologne looks appealing, I'm too scared to blind-buy after past disappointments, I'll wait for a decant to sample.

I cannot find Musk Cologne available on Bortnikoff's website anymore. I know that it's still available on some other websites but it made me worried that it's going to be discontinued. What's Dmitry's policy when it comes to releasing new batches? Is this the last batch and I should get a bottle ASAP or perhaps there's nothing to be worried about and I can expect some new batch of it in the future?

I personally doubt it has been discontinued. The missive in a roundabout way speaks of it and Amber being in his sweet spot in fragrance lovers minds with the endearing price point.

Musk Cologne doesn’t share that endearing price point, but in the sweet spot otherwise!

True not in the $220.00 mode but $280.00 is still so much cheaper than his $350.00 and sometimes above offerings. I agree it is a good price point for it's blending.

    Oud Cologne. Yes please.
New tobacco fragrance also coming. Both fragrance types right up my alley.

I actually asked Bortnikoff on their website about when Musk Cologne would be available again and they told me that it would be available again soon...that Dimitri's been working on a a new cologne, which is obviously Oud Cologne, so Musk Cologne will be back soon!

How good is Triad, and how does it compare to Oud Monarch, which I already own and really enjoy. Just looking for some thoughts on this...thanks.

Oud monarch is cocoa oud with sparkle. Semi sheer in its scent density. It is sweet but just enough.

Tried is all about rose, fresh dewy pink rose with some transparent oud. Very good for spring and summer.

To me they are completely unrelated, and 2 different genres serving separate purpose

Triad is a very safe rose/oud IMO, the rose is most prominent to me and the oud takes a back seat. I found it quite boring, TBH. Oud Monarch is very different, you get oud, cacao and a good blast of frangipani, I don't get much rose from it.

Triad would wear well in humid weather.

Thanks for all of the comments/thoughts on Triad. I'll sample it first before plunging in on a FB. I tend to jump in head first and blind buy or as I like to call it, anosmic buy.....but I already have several Bortnikoff's on the must have list and Triad doesn't fit that list at this point.

I think Triad is Bortnikoff’s best work imo. Beautiful clean rose and magnolia, with clean resinous Oud on the drydown. Wears beautifully in the winter AND the summer. In the winter the Oud is in the forefront, whereas the florals take center stage in the heat. It’s like owning two different fragrances dependent on the season.

Oud Cologne now available to order from Bortnikoff. Hopefully it'll be at other vendors like Luckyscent soon.
Rare, vintage, and niche off-site sales.
    Big list of niche splits.
