Why not look towards Rose attars? They tend to have great lasting power and would likely be very true to rose but with the caveat of price. Rose isn't inexpensive in its truest form.

My OH is particularly fond of rose fragrances and she's enjoying Miller Harris Rose Silence at the minute. I think it smells great on her and it lasts decently.

Having free time to spare in searching old perfumes..... these two are the fundamentals.
Monsters as "roses" and as "staying power"

It's less widely available and a little pricey, but one really beautiful rose perfume I just sampled recently was "Fleur de Louis" by Arquiste. I really, really highly recommend that one a lot! (Or I at least recommend trying a sample.) Another one I love is "Loukhoum" by Keiko Mecheri. Again..not sure how widely available it is. Apparently, "Sweet Oriental Dream" by Montale is really close, but the bottle isn't as pretty lol! "Paris" by Yves Saint Laurent, or "Parisienne" by YSL as well are awesome. Also, honestly, "Rose Absolute" from Yves Rocher is a very true rose scent as well.

Another one I just tried that seemed really nice is "Evening Rose" by Aerin. I only just sprayed it on a test strip, not on myself. But it seemed very pretty!

Transitioning back from orange blossom now (as I cannot imagine any creation that could beat L'Artisan's Fleur d'Oranger) to ROSES.
And by the way I never would have found the L'Artisan without the help of you all, so thank you again...

My friend in New England, 30 Roses, suggested that I try Montale's Highness Rose. That is, she thought I might like it as much as, or even more than, my current favorite Monsieur Flechier's Une Rose.. I have tried a sample she sent (thank you and merci beauçoup) this morning and I was carried away...much farther than Une Rose, into that mythical, archetypal rose garden of my memory. This is a botanical rose.

I just ordered the 50 ml. size on-line. I had been afraid to buy so much at one time but (a) I couldn't find it in any decants (!), and (b) I can always give some samples away (I am thinking of one daughter-in-law right now

This truly is royalty. I am surprised Montale did not name it 'Your' Highness.

Even if rather belated, also recommending Habit Rouge EDT and EDP, Ungaro II and III, Esencia Loewe, Comme une Evidence Homme, Chanel Egoiste but also Pour Monsieur Concentree, among others

A good very inexpensive option is Aramis 900 - a floral Chypre - which has a very beautiful prominent rose note. The perfumer Bernard Chant was well known for his rose accord among other things.

I think Aramis 900 is a good one. It's very classic. But maybe it's a little bit hard to wear. These days, I ordered Cartier Declaration d'Un Soir. It's also very good. It's easy to wear, but simple.

Oh! I can't believe I forgot Nahema. That is the best one I have tried!

I need to try declaration d’Un Soir, heard good things. I’ve been wearing Aramis 900 as a slightly dressed up spring, going in summer, evening fragrance of late.

    I'll +1 Tea Rose.

Yes, it's cheap, but it's also the strongest and most realistic rose soliflore I've smelled. Not that's a huge rose expert, but still, I'm smelled a few.

To the OP's point earlier, yes other notes are listed, but I swear to you, it smells like gigantic a rosebush.
