Of all the ones I've tried, I have found Colonia to be the most pleasant.

On the minority side (so far), since I like Essenza more than the rest.

Essenza, Leather, and Mirto di Panarea are my favorites.

    Assoluta as well.

Is the Assoluta in Villa really different? I have it, but because I thought they were identical, never picked up a bottle of Assoluta.

    I like:
    Assoluta
    Original
    Pura

Essenza I like too but veers too soapy instead of maintaining its top-note neroli elegance.

Yes they are definitely different. My daughter uses Assoluta and I use In Villa. The In Villa has been "masculinized" by softening the florals, enhancing the bergamot opening with lime, and having a very nice cypress note. Added "chili pepper" spices In the heart notes and cedar in the base. Very smooth. It is not just repackaged Assoluta.

I think of Assoluta as a yellow/orange fragrance and In Villa as a green scent.

The original Colonia without a doubt. I keep trying the others but none come close.

Of the ones I've tried (Club, Essenza, Intensa, Fico, Bergamotto, Arancia, Ginepro, Oud) I still prefer the original Colonia. I guess I can say without competition.

It is a tight competition and if I had to choose it would be Essenza but I also like the original Colonia and Assoluta.

    As always, your tastes will dictate as they've a varied range but I particularly like;
    Colonia.
    Colonia Essenza (perhaps my favourite).
    Mandorlo di Sicilia.
    Colonia Leather.
    Aranci di Capri.

In 2019? None. Absolutely none. The brand went downhill in the middle of this decade.

Around 9-10 years ago, I was a huge fan of Colonia. Likewise, I loved Essenza when it launched. But now, I can't say much for the brand.

I heard that Colonia was tempered with but I don't know anything about Essenza. What is it like now?

    Room spray!
The oak moss was toned down (of course). It hasn’t changed the scent much especially in the opening, but the scent barely lasts on me now whereas before it would linger on skin and clothes for ages. I remember trying it alongside another major powerhouse release of 2010 and Essenza just kept on going!
Oh well, earth to earth. Dust to dust. Spritz back to oxygen.

Uncertain whether these are the best from this house, but Colonia, Colonia Assoluta and most of the Blu Mediterraneo range have been and are long term personal favorites

In my opinion Colonia, Assoluta, Oud and Leather all belong in this conversation. Everything else is at least a level below.

I do agree with rum though to a degree; the prestige and quality of the brand has been diluted since circa 2015, sadly.

Oud>Leather>Colonia. I have tried most, like many, but only these three made the cut.

Agree. Today's Essenza is a shadow of the original release.

I did prefer Colonia Pura (Intensa was second) the most last year, but we'll see how it goes this summer when I get the itch for some freshies.
