Default Tom Ford Champaca Absolute vs Noir de Noir

Hey everyone! Okay so I have a question. Which do you all like better, Noir de Noir or Champaca Absolute? I understand that they're different scents, but I'm trying to decide which one I should purchase. I'm looking for something sweet (but not TOO sweet), sensual and kind of deep. I also like unique! Like I hate when someone I'm in the same room with is wearing the same fragrance that I am. Now, this WILL be a blind buy. I never used to blind buy, but lately I have, and it's been working out pretty well! So far, all of my Tom Ford and Hermes fragrances have been blind buys. So far for Hermes I have Bel Ami Vetiver and Terre d'Hermes, and for Tom Ford I have Noir Extreme, Plum Japonais, and Eau de Soleil Blanc. I have to be honest, I am leaning more towards Champaca Absolute!! But I can't help thinking that Noir de Noir may be exactly what I'm looking for. After this buy, I'm either going to get Oud Wood or Tobacco Oud, but for the time being I'm looking at the other two. So is there anything you can tell me about these scents? Which one would you recommend that I buy?

My suggestion would be to skip Oud Wood and Tobacco Oud, and just get Champaca Absolute and Noir de Noir.

Why can't you try before buying?

I whole heartedly agree. Sample before you buy!

Champaca Absolute and Noir de Noir are the better choices. Noir is Noir is ONLY good if you can seek out an earlier release bottle.

Having tried both, prefer the latter although not a fan of either.

I prefer noir de noir, it has some chocolaty sweetness and is dark, which champaca isn't.
That said, blind buying Tom Ford is rather brave. It's pretty widely available, so why don't you test it first?

Out of the two I like Champaca better. It is floral but it has a depth and uniqueness that I like and wouldn't mind getting a small bottle of. It is something I find nice to wear like in a night /evening metropolitan type of setting if you know what I mean. Dressed up.
The Noir de noir for me I have a decant of and I rarely use it. I never really find it something I reach for not because I don't like rose, as there are roses out there that I like, but the scent is not very in depth. Ive heard on youtube (and reiterate the reply above) that the current formulation is not even near what it was many years ago originally as that one had a deeper layers and richness that the current one doesn't have, as I have been informed.

Hey you all! I ended up ordering the Noir de Noir! After thinking about it I began to notice that out of all of the fragrances I was considering, I just kept coming back to Noir de Noir. Thanks for all of your help!
