No particular reason. Just randomly select a scent from my stash.

Started with a challenging fragrance, Haxan, just for the complexity as I went about my day.
Late in the day, used Beyond The Hills by Mellifluence, which kind of mixed well with the Haxan. That wore off quickly, then I wanted something that I just love love love, which is 1740 for its sweetness and imortelle notes. That’s how it rolled out today.
A basenoter dug up an old thread & asked me a question regarding Teisenddu,so I decided that’ll be my scent of the day.
Very happy I was reminded of the scent,it’s a good one!

I just bought a sample of Tabac 28 yesterday and wanted to see how it was on skin, so I wore it today.
It's hot and humid - perfect for Virgin Island Water imo...
Beau de Jour 'cause I'm killing off a sample that's spent it's last day sitting on my coffee table.

Since I was bartending today, I dunno, I like an easy pleasing reach. So I wore Sauvage EDT.

I bought a bottle of Bond No 9 Park Ave South at a great price to give to someone but it came without a cap thus not presentable, so I am kind of stuck with it. I got curious about it because it has an apple note that, although I have never really embraced it, I always seem to take a shine to fragrances with it. I applied some then sat down to watch some TV and kept bringing my wrist up to my nose to smell it. It has that same appeal for having the apple note.
Later in the day I mowed the lawn and, uncomfortably warm and sweaty upon completion, I gave myself 3-4 blasts of Set Sail St. Barts and took a seat on the deck until I cooled down.
I like this thread idea, btw. SOTD thread is ok, but it's more interesting to know where you're wearing it and/or why.

In an effort to create/curate a fragrance wardrobe for myself, I've been acquiring fragrances in different categories and then trying them on for size to see if they're keepers. Some are batches of niche samples, others are classics both cheap and costly. At the moment, I'm running through some classics. Today was simply Monsieur Lanvin's turn. As my wife is off work on Sunday, I wanted to pick something she wouldn't reject. Otherwise, it could have been any of ye olde standbys.
I was in the mood and the occasion sounded right.

First fall-like day today (low 60s) so I wore one of my favorite fall scents that I never wear in the summer: Eau des Baux
It was its turn in the alphabet.
Have had a head cold since Friday, Guerlain Homme L’Eau Boisee, Chanel Allure Homme were good comforting still enjoyable fragrances even with lack of sense of smell and feeling crappy. Wouldn’t even think of going fragrance free (would feel like I showed up to work naked haha, mood be all down etc). I figured those two would be the least gross smelling to my nose and that worked out in my favor.
I’ve been on an Amber streak lately but broke the run with Acqua di Parma Colonia yesterday. In a similar vein, I copied NCAL Fragrance Reviewer in Sous Le Vent. I decided in advance to copy another member in order to break out of my rut.

Was looking for something from my untested samples (started a project to go thru those that just have been sitting there) which would fit my schedule for today. Normal office Monday, lunch with an old colleaque, nothing too formal.
On the civil side it will be deficit deadlifts and an interesting book about old Fiat tractors.
After some guess work I chose Meo Fusciuni Luce.
Currently sitting at my desk skimming thru e-mail and sipping coffee, so far this seems like pretty ok choice

I wore Terre d'Hermes Parfum because it is a signature scent of mine (if I had to have one), it is appropriate for any occasion, and it is always a pleasure to smell.
It’s going to be a scorcher today and Grey Vetiver EdP is a perfect tonic for a blazing hot Monday morning at The Office.

I wore Agent Provocateur Blue Silk for the first time yesterday as the evening scent, found it pleasant and decided to wear it today to work to further test it out fully. I don't think I would wear the original to work, but this one felt more modern, lighter and more aromatic so I thought to give it a go. I feel it's still quite a bit too heavy, sensual and too distracting as a morning/daytime/work scent, especially in today's warm weather. It is rather nice, but feels a bit out of place at the moment.
Because it's fantastic!
Seriously though...
Castile was my SOTD because it makes me happy. I was working on a frustrating project today. A happy uplifting scent really helps on a rough day.
Tabac Rouge is my SOTE because I'm home early and I have a sample. I tend to sample stuff at night when I'm alone, because it's fun. I'm debating buying a bottle of Tabac Rouge. This stuff is excellent!

It’s the weather that is influencing my choice today. Its going to be a hot day, i’m at home and no aircon in our homes in the UK, so i’m going with Original Vetiver as it feels cool and fresh !
2 shots of Fragrance Du Bois Oud Bleu Intense
+ 1 shot of Bortnikoff Bonheur
Why? Because I can. Lol. And they both smell amazing!
Houbigant Fougere Royale. Ideal for a hot office day.
Probably the last of the cold weather this winter, so it was time for a gourmand. The rain and cloud made the dry sensation from the patchouli just right.
1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.
I'm wearing POLO because it's my favorite. I wear it most days I'm at work.
"Ducks eat for free at Subway."
Wore Epic Man on the sheets last night because I’m going through my Amouage fragrances and learning them, and they make good bedtime material.
Yatagan! ( must be said in a dramatic theatrical voice #obvs!)
Was tempted by something 'fresher' but just couldn't do it. Yatagan I found works real good in heat. Dry, woody herbal aromatic. Spot on !
The weather turned cooler and I hadn't worn it many months. As soon as I sprayed it I asked myself why I hadn't.
