I think I did well so far on the sample choosing. Rue de La Paix and Lavande both were great. Still have Guerlarose, Gardenia, and Fleurs Qui Mert.

Lautier was an offshoot of Lautier Fils in Grasse, established in the 18th century as specialist in growing and distilling raw ingredients for perfumery. Lautier designed fragrances under contract to major clients. I've never seen a Lautier-branded fragrance before now. Lautier was ultimately acquired by Symrise.
No idea on the first one.

I will admit to a general shortage of interior decorating skills or perhaps over-manly lack of taste, but that is a seriously interesting looking bottle with lower box. I would probably just stick that on the mantle for a year or three, perhaps without the matching box next to it..... congrats to Mrs. S. for the artistic fragrance addition.

Thank you! A preliminary whiff at the bottle says it's not just for show, either.

And now, for something more prosaic:

I think this will be a much better investment than Shalimar Ode a la vanille or Iris Ganache also being sold by the same seller.

There is a story attached to this scent, that Charles Revson produced it as a joking response to his rival, Estée Lauder, who refused to call him by name but would only refer to him as “that man!”

Beautiful. So, how old do you think that makes it?

Default Vintage Fragrances I bought today - 2020

I bought several minis as part of my Diana de Silva exploration.

    Genny by Genny Shine
    Gianfranco Ferre GFF Uomo
    Ferre by Ferre
    Bugatti (coming soon)

...and a small bottle of Jean d'Albret Casaque Parfum as a result of the vintage sample pass.

I like the little stuff. And, I always wanted one of those puffer sprayers; Ferre by Ferre is my first!

So this bottle is from a now deceased reviewer Gaia who was known for her blogspot The-Non Blonde
    http://www.thenonblonde.com/2013/09/...c-vintage.html

From Gaia's blog she claimed the bottle dated back to the first World War. There's a red/blue batch code sticker (VIII.L) on the side of the bottle which disagrees with that time period. It's either from the 1930s (1935) or WWI.

This one could be part of the upcoming Guerlain sample pass.

As for the background, you happened to be in the right place and the right time.

Kinda looks like a Woto bottle. Musk or Sandal maybe. Cytherian would love to hate my guess.
