That's as close as it's going to get. It's a Deviline bottle with the label missing, so I only know it's something in the Woto family. Well done!

This very likely didn't come from ebay. Where did you find Woto?

It did come from eBay. Seller had it listed as “Deviline vintage cologne after shave 1969.” Been sitting there for something like a year. After I tried the Woto, I offered half the asking price, and the seller quickly accepted. Nobody else knew or cared what it was.

I'd be interested in knowing how it compares with the cologne. I still have a vial from Cytherian if an opportunity presents itself for comparison purposes.

Alas, during the ’70s, I eschewed dance floors and was unaware YSLPH even existed. Now I'm playing catch-up (but not on the disco).

I got Tabu, which I'm hoping is vintage, along with minis of Avon Toccara, Avon Timeless, and Bill Blass for Women.

This might be from the 1960s. Some similar photos that I found online indicates but I'm hoping someone else could verify this.

Awesome! Most of the really old ads I've seen have the violin bottle or various clear ones. I have to admit, I kind of prefer the current reformulated bottle, as its more art deco but this is cool too. My bottle is the same as the pic I put up but a little tarnished with caked on dust. And it must be potent. Even with the cap on the bottle you can smell it a foot away.

Grabbed a bit of Rive Gauche (had a very small sample before, didn't quite bond with it) so I can compare it with the vintage Azzaro I picked up recently.

Eau d'Hermes (copper cap)... I think! 100ml, looks to be a 2002 batch code?

I saw it pop up on eBay for a pretty good price; especially if it's true about EdH being discontinued (and it's a copper cap that I love and have a couple of already).

But what confused me is it doesn't say what it is on the front of the bottle. I tried looking online, nada. I was like, "Did Hermes use this presentation for anything else? Isn't it only Eau d'Hermes?). So I took one of my copper caps out and compared to it.... it seems simply the font and stuff on the front of the tester bottle got removed/rubbed off somehow! No idea how that even happens, but it appears to be Eau d'Hermes. Am I right? Lol

Yes, it's Eau d'H. with the text and some of the design rubbed off. I traded a similarly-afflicted bottle to Bavard recently. It doesn't affect the contents. Just an issue with their bottle screen printing at the time.

Yes, I thought it would be useful to have another reference guide, and this one is from Baccarat itself. I hope the book is in good shape: the pic is from Amazon because the auction listing had no photos.

Thanks for confirming! My fear of the contents being affected is it doesn't seem to come with a box, and it's a tester. So it's potentially been sitting in a warehouse getting light beamed on it for years or something.

That’s possible, but the text coming off could as easily be from storage in a cool, dark place that led to condensation on the outside of the bottle, which then stuck to and ruined the plain tester box. Who knows?

Am not a Hermes fan but had three or four of the smaller tower style (1.6 maybe?) varieties that I bought just due to the name and they were way cheap at some store I don't recall. Every one of them were new in box and all had the black lettering fall or rub off in months. I remember it got to where I coudn't tell which was which way before they were used up. I didn't really know better then, but they were stored in a dark cabinet in the bathroom so no extreme temps but maybe some humidity. And boxes were tossed day one, so they weren't touching anything in storage.

Thinking about it, I think I still have one of those left that is decent vintage (say 20+ years) and almost nearly full, but it may not have enough label left to look legit to sell it. I thought all of them smelled good but after about 5 minutes went weak and after an hour was gone.....amazing I got through three, probably extreme over-application.....
