This bottle/version just arrived. I'm comparing it to the bottle that I got about a week ago that say's, "Chanel For Men Cologne". They both smell about the same to me. Wish the scents actually lasted....sigh. I definitely prefer the EdT Concentree for that very reason.

I loved this back in the day, but it has been 50 years since I last wore Canoe. I recently looked into finding a vintage bottle, but then I got sidetracked, as usual.

    Jean d’Albret - Messire

I find this a sterotypical soapy lavender barbershop scent, perfectly fine but fairly anonymous. Its detractors in the BN database are notably working from minis that may have gone off, but this pristine (and pre-Orlane) maxi doesn't suggest to me that they're missing all that much.

I don't see much difference in any of it's early iterations, performance is roughly comparable as well. I still prefer Pour Monsieur EDT any day.
