Lenthéric Musketeer is a fairly typical barbershoppy cologne from 1955. Very pleasant, not especially distinctive, though I think better than Lenthéric’s “Men’s Cologne” of the 1930s (if I’m remembering it well). Longevity is no great shakes, but that’s fine as a day scent to be supplanted by something with more oomph for the evening.

Thanks I’m really enjoying this but I can’t help but think I’ve smelled this before and not being able to recall what that scent was is driving me nuts.

My uncle gifted me a bottle when long ago...sadly I forgot what this smells like but judging from the reviews I am sure I would love this!

Floris Sandalwood perfume, it's really similar to the slightly older toilet water I own but this one has a much better longevity -- I easily get 12 hours out of this but stays very close to the skin. It's a beautiful smooth, straightforward sandalwood.
