Mitsouko, for the first time in a couple of years. I just never think of it.

It's easy to take classics for granted: "Oh, yeah, everyone likes that." How often does one cue up the Beatles' "Yesterday" at home? And then, you do it, and you're reminded why it's a classic. Mitsouko seems rather like that: so obvious, you forget that it's brilliant. Until you smell it again.

For those who have both spray and splash gold cap versions, do you think they're a bit different?

Pffft. You're just a pup. But a pup with exquisite taste.

Many happy returns to you, JL.

Some vintage No. 19 parfum for a lunch date today, my first non-medical outing since getting home 10 days ago, and my first restaurant meal in 6 or 7 months.

No, just a colleague... but one I respect enough to expend some treasured juice on.

Unfortunately, when I got in her car, she had not one but two Febreze deodorizers clipped to the air vents -- obnoxious enough to overpower anything.
