No buts. As you said, he "was a pretty dedicated Nazi." That makes him an abysmal human being. As I said above, the company "Hugo Boss" isn't the same company it was when he owned it. Hugo Boss, the man, however, was a loyal Nazi to the end, and thus, he was an absolutely unquestionably terrible person.

Oh, and they eventually got an apology, about 70 years later. How nice of them.
It appears I was under-informed. I didn't at all intend to make light of the situation.

I guess that is why the SS uniform is pretty damn aesthetic to be honest. That said, I cant really condemn the company for what happened long ago. Totally different company. Much like how Mercedes Benz was basically making cars and engines for Nazi tanks and planes.

Back to the topic, so no one here at all tried Boss Absolute?

Is it redundant to get this since I already own Unlimited? I read one review say it is a lighter version of Unlimited.

I'd say they're quite different, but that's just my opinion.

That's ok. Boss is a "sweet sin" for me too. Their frags are simple and mainstream, but also kind of catchy.

Glad to know someone is a fan too. Most in forum, fragrance groups, even Youtubers hardly mention Hugo Boss. Lol.

Now that you ask... I've never bought a single Hugo Boss fragrance in my whole life.
But I've got literally hundreds of samples with my fragrance purchases because that's what the sellers usually give - no one likes those trashy dip vials without a sprayer. And I just can't believe that they still produce them in 2021...

If I had to buy and wear some of the line, I would pick The Scent Absolute and Private Accord. Both are good.

I’m Jewish, but I don’t have any Hugo Boss frags because they don’t smell good lol. Actually, I’d get some perverse pleasure in wearing a nazi-era fragrance.
ďI have often observed that [scents] cause an alteration in me and work upon my spirits according to their several virtues; which makes me approve of what is said, that the use of incense and perfumes in churches, so ancient and so universally received in all nations and religions, was intended to cheer us, and to rouse and purify the senses, the better to fit us for contemplationĒ - Montaigne

Boss number 1 was the first frag I owned back in the mid-90s. I was 15...16 years old? LoL. It has a special place in my memories because of that..I remember it being really nice and it lasted a lot of time. Their current offerings do nothing for me.

    Happen to agree with you.

I think Boss-In-Motion White is a better orange scent than Boss Orange.

Uh, so maybe he was friends of our dear Coco Chanel.
Yuck, I donít have good reactions when I know these facts and like I said many times I just suspended my boycott to Chanel when I knew her jew ďpartnerĒ in business got the control of the brand after her death (just hope this is true).
The most interesting fact to me regarding the discussions about these topics is that itís not the first time I see a jew that doesnít give a shit about the brands/their owners that supported nazism. Even no-Jew Germans I know donít feel comfortable about or abhor this part of the history. The argument of this belonging to the past will never convince me. Maybe itís just a matter of values. Something Iím yet to read/learn about the human behavior.
I donít understand. It is so vast that surpasses all understanding.Understanding is always limited. But not understanding can have no boundaries.I feel like I'm much more complete when I don't understand. Not understanding, like I say,is a gift. Not understanding, but not as a simple-minded.The good thing is to be intelligent and not understand. It's a strange blessing, like having craziness without being crazy. It is a meek disinterest,it is a stupid sweetness.

I don't know what to make of Boss Orange,
To me it's an ambery fougere like Boss Elements Aqua, minus the Aqua and plus some Orange.
