Default Bogue profumo / Antonio Gardoni consolidated thread

    Hello everyone,

Starting one unified thread dedicated to Bogue profumo and Antonio Gardonis creations.
I didnt find equal thread and each new release gets its own page, so hope to create one stop shop here.
Please share your opinions, news and discussions here.

To kick off discussion, share what would you like Antonio to release in the future, or which fragrance to make a comeback?

Glad to see this. My favorite perfumer. I’d love to see Noun come back. And I know it’s not possible but something like Cologne Reloaded.

Bogue announced Oooh, an exclusive fragrance of 10 bottles. $530 a bottle. If anyone tried this, please share your reviews

I'd like Bogue to release something that ISN'T a limited edition.

    Love me some Bogue!

I just got a decant of Noun but I haven’t worn it yet.

I adore my decant of Cologne Reloaded.

I LOVE Gardoni and HATE the circumstances that surround nearly every new Bogue release (absurdly limited quantities, exclusivity, increasingly prohibitive pricing). Each time I see an Instagram post announcing a new Bogue release I jump out of my chair in excitement only to be deflated by the details surrounding the release. Rant over. The important thing is he is a genius and truly unique perfumer, and none of this changes that.

I have a bottle of Cologne Reloaded, maybe 10ml left... very different from his other scents. Definitely feels like he was finding himself(I still love it and it’s brilliant) but I think the best is still to come. Allegretto 7.2 is fantastic, Il Diece X is stunning sandalwood. Doluer! is some kind of crazy art. I put in for a small sample of OOOH at Luckyscent and I will definitely share my thoughts when it comes in the mail.

But man. He is so good. Maai and MeM and T Rex are all top 10 for me. O/e is brilliant. I just wish Noun had stuck around. One of his best.

I enjoy his work - I find them interesting & sniff-worthy but so far have yet to find it ‘necessary’ to buy a full bottle. I hardly made a dent in my decants of Maai, Cologne Reloaded, nor T-Rex. I’d love to have some MEM though but I’ll likely give Oooh a miss.

I am a big fan. But I do not like the scent he did for Berceuse. I have worn it 3 times already and it just does NOT click with me.

I look forward to sampling Doleur! and I Love YY, which I haven't smelled yet.

Yes I’ve owned bottles of Cologne Reloaded twice and sold them both. While his stuff is very interesting, I find them largely unwearable

Wow! I feel like Cologne Reloaded is one of his best.

What makes them "unwearable" to you? Too old school? Boring, powerful?

I think it’s the rough camphorous notes he likes to use in a lot of his scents. Definitely interesting and different but not something I ever really found myself wanting to wear.

I just got a full bottle of the scent he did for Berceuse and I think it’s right beneath MeM for my favorite Gardoni. Love love love it. The glowing benzoin/Ylang beneath the multifaceted Vetiver/mint/lavender Is right up my alley—- being able to spray big clouds vs the small tester just makes everything more pleasant in my opinion.

I love YY and Il Diece X are both very nice but I think the Berceuse scent is even better than any of his new Bogues.

It’s nice... has some of the chewy floral Ylang of Noun and 07738... but instead of the rough herbal balance, it’s balanced against a lightly gourmand cinnamon vanilla benzoin base. Not the most distinctive of his offering but I could see a certain element finding it to be his best.

Someone on fragrantica compares it to Yatagan. Do you find similarities between alegretto and caron?

I, personally, didn’t see much in common of the actual character of the fragrance. It DOES have some similar notes. But I don’t find them to combine in much of a similar way.
    ——-
On another note, I just received my sample of OOOH from Bogue and it’s making me sad. It’s so good. I wish it wasn’t so limited. It’s a beauty. It has an icy facet to the florals. Almost as if a sudden blanket of snow dropped down over mimosa and ylang.

I had a feeling it would be great as notes looked really good. Maybe someone will be doing a split. I was watching that last bottle on ebay bit it went off for about 700. To much for me unfortunately, especially with exchange rate.

We have to start a petition for him to make a big batch of it

Oh no. I do not find those scents similar at all.

No i didnt. Sample i requested from luckyscent didnt make it to me with my last order.
I do have a sample of oooh and i wasnt impressed.
Seems like oooh from antonio is what tigerlust is from ensar.

Patiently waiting for new creations of his.
Really want to see something like Maai but for men, or something resinous.

That’s funny, I guess we all smell things so differently. I’m mourning not being able to get more than an ml of OOOH. I thought it was the most fantastic thing.
