Tbh, I'm a fan of the line.

The original, Sport, and the now discontinued Cologne were some of my most worn casual fragrances each year.

I was most underwhelmed by the L'Intense, as I was expecting something more dark and ashy when I saw the smoky notes. I feel like all I get is sweetness.

I'm really curious of how "extreme" this is gonna be, but I'm not holding my breath at the same time, unfortunately.

This line must be selling pretty well to justify all these flankers. At least they all hit the discounters and are pretty affordable. The only one I own is the EDP, and it's solid I suppose. The rest never did much for me when I sniffed them.

They’re all pretty good. High collectible value, too.

I have the EdP which I love and Ideal Cologne which I wear for work a lot (though may not be wearing it at work for the next few weeks).

I'm definitely interested in trying this. I also want to give Cool a try, which is tough to find.

I think to have so many flankers, should be built upon a run-away commercial success to begin with (ADG, A*, DIOR Homme etc). Not sure that the Ideal line really qualifies.

As for me, serious release is something that people will notice, buy and wear. I know many guys (friends, from work etc.) who love Sauvage, many who love Bleu, but nobody knows about L'Homme Ideal and its flankers.

At least from their signature line, something unique and not flanker after flanker would be nice. Will seek to sample the new release on this thread just would like something along the lines of their classics or a quality thought out fragrance.

I wonder will now the L'Homme Ideal EdP have the same fate of L'Homme Ideal Cologne flanker that was replaced by L'Homme Ideal Cool? Why make "Extreme" flanker if you already have the EdP and L'Intense? This implies potential discontinuation of either EdP or L'Intense in my opinion.

Agree 1000% and they don't really sell people will pick up Valentino Uomo or DHI or DHP instead of them, most guys still know Guerlain for Habit Rouge or even Shalimar, they need a new creative director, Wassier has done a poor job with the exception of Nacree Rose which is his best work and now discontinued because of the exorbitant price.
