Definitely not a blind buy unless you love patchouli, it's a patchouli bomb.

It is a MA-STER-PIECE. That said, I consider that there are four "styles" of patchouli:

    - clean (ie. Zegna Javanese Patchouli)
    - woody/aromatic (ie. Guerlain Heritage, Davidoff Zino)
    - oily/chocolatey (ie. Lutens Borneo 1834, Saab Cuir Patchouli)
    - earthy/dirty (ie. HdP Noir Patchouli, Jovoy Psychedelique)

The latter is my favourite style, and yes, I love Jovoy's Psychedelique. Possibly the best patchouli fragrance, for me. That said, unless you know what I mean by "dirty patchouli", I strongly suggest to sample first.

Its like a more dense, masculine version of Coromandel.
Had a bottle but sold it off.

If OP disliked patchouli, I sincerely think he would not have asked about this fragrance.

I disagree. The patchouli in Coromandel is on the clean side, and has a chocolate note that is totally lacking in Jovoy's.

Own it and love it. Speaking only for myself, was worth a blind buy.

This! (If you are a patchouli lover, Psychédélique should not be missing from your collection!)

I wouldn’t recommend blind buying Psychedelique. Even if you enjoy patchouli, as I do, there’s no guarantee you will like this.
I’d recommend getting a sample first and if you’re ordering direct from Jovoy also get samples of Private Label and Incident Diplomatique.

I blind bought it and was disappointed. It's not as dark and dirty as I was expecting. There is some earthiness, but it's tamed by a Dr. Pepper-like sweetness. I find it to be a quite wearable patchouli fragrance. Not bad at all, just not what I was expecting.

I spent last winter exploring patchouli frags and my search ended when I sampled Psychédélique. I'm in complete agreement with the above statement. I consider Psychédélique my patchouli holy grail.

I have a sample and do enjoy it. If I didn't have other patchoulis that I enjoy already, I would pick this up.

It's a very nice ambery patchouli, but I prefer edgier stuff like Mazzolari Lui when it comes to an ambery patchouli.

Psychedelique is nice, but I would find it perhaps a bit boring if I were to wear it several days in a row.

Not a safe blind buy but I find it very enjoyable in the evenings at home, the note separation is excellent, the development is excellent.

There is dirty patchouli, white chocolate, amber, a variety of excellent woody notes, and an ashtray note that actually works nicely.

I think it's a wonderful fragrance. Saying that, I did actually sell my bottle. It wasn't because I went off it but more to do with the fact I actually preferred others. If I want full on patchouli then I have Patchouli Nobile. If I want a prettier patchouli then I have Coromandel. I just didn't see the need for it any longer.

They are super generous. If you order a sample direct from Jovoy they usually send 4 or 5 for you to check out.

Interesting. I picked up a cola flavored bottle caps (the candy) vibe from it. Same here though, it's not a dirty as I expected and was more sweet than I thought it was going to be.
