    Default Dark, green note suggestions

Any suggestions for a dark, brooding green note? Violet leaf in some cases kinda sort fits the bill, but it has a vegetal/herbal feel that I want to avoid. Something (or some subcomponet) of a dark conifer, without the bracing camphourous feel, is what I'm looking for.

Fir absolute and in any case if you haven't smelled it you must get some!! I also like vetiver. Not that green but it has brooding down. Mix it with things like maceal and farnesol and there is your green or PAA.

The first thing coming to my mind is Ruh Khus, depending on the distiller style, it can have a leather or incense direction

    Good day, tensor9!

If you are looking for a dark-green-coniferous something then you need Fir Balsam or Fir absolute as RSG suggested.
Also dark-green note could be on of the following:
Galbanum Pyrazine 0,1% - Its highly impactful dark-green note with vegetal aspect.
Copaiba balsam could be quite an interesting dark-green note reminiscent of Violet Leaf but... different. Balsamic-vegetal-something... Hard to describe properly))
If you want something heavy and ambery then check Karanal (Amber Dioxane) - it is dark-green-ambery component to my nose reminiscent of Amber Xtreme but more "green".

    Tomato leaf from robertet
Big green , but doesn’t have longevity
Mango leaf abs, rose and leaf abs from hermitage, both very intricate green
Starfleur , aldemone, saxony thyme base from psh all very green to me
The sexiest and deepest is the saxony but it is also a bit herb garden slowly roasted , I love the smell

I have recently discovered Humus Ether, and am obsessed. I don’t think it would fit your needs by itself, but mixing just a little bit with another green note should do the trick!
