    Default Versace Pour Homme

Does anyone know where I can find a formula for bgg whats in Versace Pour Homme? I'm not trying to recreate it as a clone. I just like the smell a lot and would like to know which molecules are responsible.

You're going to have a hard time trying to source any kind of formula or GC on a modern composition, let alone one that's currently being sold. From my understanding, your best bet would be to get a hold of somebody who can do a GC analysis for you. This would entail sending that someone your to-be-analysed sample, and you'd have to cough up a good bit of money for them to run the tests for you. Even then, the results of that test aren't equal to a formula, as one ingredient, such as lime oil, would be listed as it's many constituents. All that said, it should prove quite educational. I know that people have previously gotten together in order to split the bill, which seems to be a fairly good idea. Might prove a challenge though.
    Best of luck!

Which one? If it’s the original then I have a bottle at home and could give you a basic run down after I smell it, if you trust my nose
EDIT: I actually believe I have the newer one too.

    What is a GC analysis?

I didnt know that there was more than one. I know itsin a clear bottle with a metallic emblem on it. The liquid is a pale blue clear.

It’s a gas chromatograph. Essentially a small portion of the perfume is heated till it vaporizes and the gas is then analyzed. It tells you the chemicals within the sample but not the quantities.

No, I don't have any intelligence on Versace Pour Homme.

While ago I was playing with a marine accord and I ended up with something that resembles the VPH. I used the ingredients below:

    Iso E Super
    Cedramber
    Cedarwood Virginia EO
    Vetyveryl Acetate
    Ambrox Super
    Romandolide
    Exaltolide
    Muscone
    Tonka Bean Abs
    Hedione
    Lilial
    Helional
    Cyclamen Aldehyde
    Isomethyl Ionone alpha
    PEA
    Geranyl Acetate
    Geranium
    Citronellol
    Methyl Anthranilate
    Nerolidol
    Coranol
    Sclareolate
    Linalool
    Linalyl Acetate
    cis-3-Hexenyl Salicylate
    AAG
    Clary Sage
    Ultrazur
    Calone
    Floralozone
    DHM
    Methyl Pamplemousse
    Bergamot EO
    Lemon EO
    Mandarin EO
    Aldehyde C-11

This is not far from what I wrote down the other night. I would drop the ultrazur, cis-3-hexenyl salicylate, AAG, Mandarin EO, Isomethyl ionone alpha, Floralozone, and exaltolide. Not saying they aren't present in the actual formula, but they aren't standing out when smelling the actual perfume IMO. The Calone is a grey area to me, i want to say that its present but in a very small quantity, though this could just be the watery note from the helional.

Someone in a perfume group on Facebook mentioned that he wanted to have it analyzed. I guess he changed his mind, because I never heard from him again regarding Versace pour Homme.

All I can say for sure is that it contains around 5% of Ambroxan.
