Default CDG PARFUM (original) vs COSTUME NATIONAL HOMME

I have and love COSTUME NATIONAL HOMME.

CDG PARFUM (1994) caught my eye and see that it kind of has a similar notes profile. Anyone familiar enough with both to comment how similar, redundant to own both, etc.
Between Covid and retirement I don't get out much. But when I do, I smell real good.

CDG 1994 is a masterclass on the use of honey and clove. An obtuse nose may aliken it to potpourri.

Costume National Homme is more fresh-spicy, translucent and even a little abrasive. I tried it in store and liked it, and later bought a bottle but then sold it because it was too sharp/synthetic, but it has its appeal.

CdG Parfum is more warm-spicy, one of the best clove perfumes on the market, and a little medicinal in the best possible way. I find it very different from the rest of the Comme des Garçons line as it is much more full-bodied with considerable heft. I find it much more enjoyable and rewarding than Costume National Homme.

Not redundant if you're a fraghead, the similarities start and end at them being spicy and solid performers. I prefer the CdG. The floral and honey aspects of it has a wow factor that Homme never comes close to.

Speaking from a personal and subjective viewpoint alone and although liking both scents, tending to additionally and more stringently recommend CDG Parfum.
