Any brown leather bifolds you are looking at to replace your trifold? Bellroy supposedly makes some good quality wallets at a reasonable price. One of my brothers got one recently and is quite happy with it.

I haven't really been looking. Sometimes at TJ Maxx, I'll check their selection. But I'm looking for real leather, not genuine.

I would assume that most of what you'll find at TJ Maxx is genuine leather.

Yeah. Duluth Trading Co. has a couple full grain leather bifolds I have my eyes on.

My dad has one from Duluth, but it's the firehose wallet (not leather). I'm not sure if he still uses it regularly. They are known for making durable goods, so the wallet you're considering might be a nice option. I have no experience with the brand yet but might pick up a pair of jeans or something.

I have a camo pair of work pants from them, I wear when doing outdoor housework.
Their wallets are durable, somewhat utilitarian, but I kind of like them that way.

Hmmm - a lot of minimalists around here.

    In my wallet I carry,
My three main credit cards - to earn reward points on purchases
Two debit/EFTPOS cards - for cash advances and where there are credit card fees on purchases (e.g. Aldi)
Medibank card (universal health care card).
    Private Health Insurance card
    Drivers Licence.
    Costco card.
    Two supermarket rewards cards.
    Public Transport card.
Plus several hundred dollars in cash.

In Australia I carry my wallet in my back pocket.

In Europe I carry a larger wallet in my side pocket - carrying different credit cards, and doing without the cards that are useless there.
    Regards,
    Renato

Any reason in particular you carry so much cash?

Cash is still required or useful for many things - Farmer's markets, street stalls, where fees are charged for card usage, black market stuff, discounts for cash payments and as a gift or reward.

I also left out my other invaluable thing in my wallet - a credit card sized 3X magnifier.
Lately I find the ingredients and instructions on jars and packaging of food stuffs are really tiny and written with colours that don't contrast enough. The magnifier is very helpful.
    Cheers,

Since I bought this Smythson in the summer the LVís have been sat in the drawer. Reminds me I need to switch them out.

Is that genuine crocodile, or embossed calf?

Well, it looks sharp either way. When you bring the Louis Vuitton pieces back into rotation, I'd like to see them on here if you wouldn't mind sharing.

That looks great. I prattled on about earlier in this thread, but I have to say the pricey leather goods are a worthwhile purchase.

I bought a Ferragamo wallet 15 years ago and it looks like new. It's crazy. No wear whatsoever and use it everyday.
I don't get out much. But when I do, I smell real good.

For me, bifolds tend to be much thicker than card holders. I do not stuff card holders full of cards; generally one card per slot gets the job done.

I picked up a new Berluti wallet last weekend. It's called a card holder, but it's really something in between a bifold and a cardholder. It actually holds a surprising amount of cards and cash. At the moment I have 10 banknotes folded in half and tucked into the side pocket, adding almost no bulk. Love that the wallet slips easily into a breast pocket or a pair of jeans, unlike my larger Bottega Veneta bifold. I think this is a classier look than an open cardholder and the patina of the leather is the nicest I've ever seen. I'd love to pick up a pair of their shoes one day as well. Here is the exact model:

Wow, that is gorgeous. The patina, yes! It's like rich melting caramel. Elegant and eminently practical wallet.

Here's a little cardholder I've been using a lot lately. I have a Montblanc belt and ballpoint pen, too, so it's fun when my EDC accessories match. I happen to love Montblanc's leathers more than other brands 2x the price or more - particularly the glossy, smooth "meisterstuck" line. It's very minimalist, but for daily use while not traveling, it holds more than enough.

Gorgeous. I really like minimalist accessories when they're made with materials and workmanship that speak for themselves, which is certainly true of this card holder. It looks buttery-smooth, but firm enough to protect cards from bends and tears.
