Nicolai New York Intense - you can get 30ml on the cheap or get the 100ml bottle. Top 3 frag for me right now. It's so damn good.

Everything I‘ve tried from Nicolaï so far is absolutely remarkable. I have blind bought three of her scents and all are huge winners. Eau de Yuzu is on my list for sure.

As you‘re asking for lesser known, here are some from my limited experience, albeit vastly different in style: Anubis, Breath of God, Lonestar Memories, Hyde, Fidelis, Bond-T, Guilty Cologne pour Homme, L‘Humaniste, Itasca, Kasbah, Patchouli Intense, Vetiver Veritas
    Currently wearing: Aventus by Creed

Nice! I need to try this. Is it comparable to anything else you've sniffed?

Issey Miyake - Pulse of the Night.

I love it and think it's fantastic!

And for me it's much better than Noir Ambre (sold all my Noir Ambre bottles).

If you can get for around 50 bucks or even less, go for it!

Well first lemme say, this is my first Yuzu fragrance. However my son and myself both think is smells like Acqua di Gio Profumo. Take that with a grain of salt because it really doesn't. There is just a note or two that is very prominent in both frags that they seem to share. I think it's the watery notes or perhaps the patchouli I'm not sure. The Yuzu smells very fresh and natural. Be careful not to over spray in one area because IMO, the Yuzu can get almost B.O like. It's a very refreshing, happy, and relaxing citrus scent.

Under appreciated due to confusing marketing is Givenchy Gentleman Parfum and also the Givenchy Gentleman Cologne version. Parfum (black bottle) is more patchouli dominant and the Cologne (white top) is more vetiver dominant. This is the new one that's been out for a year or so. Both can be had for around a $100 for 100 ml. very nice.

Anatole Lebreton whole line is excellent and is $150 for 50 ml. - under appreciated and a great value for the quality. My favorites are Grimoire and Bois Lumiere.

Take a look at Rook Perfumes - they are all excellent value and under noticed - around $120 /bottle. These are very masterful if you like earthy, incense, darker scents, that have natural and resinous tones.
SHELTER IN PLACE WARDROBE • mugler kryptomint • rook undergrowth • no. 1 kosmala tonic blanc • bohemian lime • sumo j scent • aventus cologne • nautica voyage • moschino pour homme • sancti liquides imaginaires • smn patchouli • menthe fraiche • under my skin • phuong dang artist • dior homme sport '12

    That's a pretty broad category.

I'll second NICOALI NEW YORK INTENSE from NICOLAI and add PATCHOULI INTENSE.

I have this year started dabbling with JOVOY scents and I don't know if they qualify as under appreciated, but they are good scents with a certain dark and heavy house style.
(Maybe their darkness matches my Covid seclusion mood....)

PRIVATE LABEL, L'ART DE LA GUERRE and PSYCHODELIQUE are all heavy, dark, earthy scents if you like that sort of thing. INCIDENT DIPLOMATIQUE as well.
They make heavy use of heavy, earth vetivers and patchoulies.

L'ART DE LA GUERRE stunned me by being the first use of immortelle in a male frag that worked for me. It's sort of like a very modernized and brooding version of 3rd MAN.
Between Covid and retirement I don't get out much. But when I do, I smell real good.

I know right!! I could have narrowed it a bit but I am open to ANYTHING. I've ordered from Jovoy and noticed they had their own line as well. I'm starting to hear more good things so I will check them out. Thanks for your recommendations. May I suggest even though it's a unisex fragrance, Couleur Vanille by L'artisan parfumeur. It's use of immortelle is divine!! It's a vanilla/salty /aquatic and the combo is well done.

    Wonderwood, Wonderoud ...
I don’t understand. It is so vast that surpasses all understanding.Understanding is always limited. But not understanding can have no boundaries.I feel like I'm much more complete when I don't understand. Not understanding, like I say,is a gift. Not understanding, but not as a simple-minded.The good thing is to be intelligent and not understand. It's a strange blessing, like having craziness without being crazy. It is a meek disinterest,it is a stupid sweetness.

I would recommend looking at Rogue Perfumery, it has gotten a lot of attention over the past 2 years.

Check out Olympic Orchids, they don't seem to get much talk around here. (There is a recently updated thread about many of their offerings). Particularly suggest Woodcut for some serious wood and Salamanca for some killer dark stone and leather.

Just one perfume, which unfortunately is not in the Basenotes directory.
Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum versions only are listed:

    not Cartier - L'Envol PARFUM

Some Basenotes members were very astonished about my TK Maxx (Germany) purchase - they didn't even know that this version was available. Price at TK Maxx: just 44.99 €
Their Google search was also in vain.

This is a flacon that cannot be refilled!

Fragrgrantica does not have this perfume in its directory either.
    Only Parfumo.com knows this version

Anyone have any knowledge of this fragrance?
Where could you buy the perfume?

I've sampled WoodCut and it's very unique. I dig it. I bought a bottle of Night Flyer because I heard its the original Bat formulation (Zoology). Oh my God that ish is POTENT!! It's definitely special!! Haven't smelled the OG Bat so I can't compare. But Olympic Orchids is a solid house, I also really enjoyed Black Bird!!
