Apparently this version before the gray/white/silver/whatever box is great!

    You lucky buyer!

The green version still has oak moss, the silver version no longer. You can clearly see the difference!

Virgin Island Water is quite good, I have an old 13X01 bottle and recent bottles and it hasnt changed much if at all over the years.

I’ve been on a self-imposed purchasing moratorium since this spring due to Covid-induced budget tightening, but now that I’m a bit more solvent I decided to pick this up - actually found the 150 ml bottle for $50 at Goodwill. I’ve sampled this before and wanted to pick it up for a while, and always nice to add another JCE creation to my collection.

Grats! I've been watching the Malle perfume summit video, and one of the perfumers gave a nod to JCE for his work on this one or this line, I think.

That is an older style box which was very limited. The box that my TFE bottles have all came in were the newer 1-piece box similar to Grey Vetiver.

It’s very close to Declaration - honestly I feel like it could be a flanker to it - “Declaration Eau de The Vert” or something like that. It has similar citrus and slightly pungent herbal/spicy notes (although nothing as strong as the cumin in Declaration, but it’s still lurking around underneath), with the soft, somewhat soapy green tea note front and center. Seems to focus more on the floral aspects of green tea than the hay/grass elements, which is bolstered by a nice rose note. Dry down is nice too, soft, green and warm. It’s an EdC so it only lasts about 4-5 hours, which is the only downside for me. Curious to try the Extreme flanker, although I’ve heard it goes in a more floral feminine direction.

    Lancôme - Rôses Berberanza 100ml

Blind bought Parfait de Roses recently from this house and it's AMAZING. This one may be more honeyed/deeper and it appears to be discontinued as well, so might as well buy now while the price is great before it's harder to find & price jumps up. Gorgeous bottles too.

    -

Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male Le Parfum 125ml

I love Le Male, I love Ultra Male, this seems to be a kind of mix of the two - so we'll see! The 200ml was in stock, but before I ordered it went out of stock. Which is probably a good thing, as 200ml is a bit too large for me, haha. Though the price difference was great and very tempting.

That older style box style actually comes apart similar to the boxes in the Private Blend line.

Then you'll be delighted to know JCE is in the video as well; it's pretty cool. It's a Malle celebration video with the perfumers there in person - JCE, Pierre Bourdon, Dominique Ropion, Maurice Roucel, etc. . Also that Bulgari sounds interesting, I love Declaration.

I just checked - they have a lot in stock! That's good news for fans of this scent, as it was recently nearly impossible to find on other discounters and even eBay.
