Yes, N.CAL, it is. I paid full price at Macy's because I wanted the freshest possible product. To my nose, it smells the same as when it was originally launched.

That was my thought too.... I'm actually a bit frustrated that for some reason the spicy, woody, plum scents... or woody violets, seems to be harder to come by. I'm thinking about the original Feminite du
bois f.ex. I would also love to get Boxeuses and a number of the other Serge Lutens more available. I can no longer purchase anything from the official SL site. They don't ship to Norway anymore So I hope it takes a while before I run out of Daim blond....

Nostalgia is imho one of the best reasons for buying/wearing perfume. Enjoy!

The Puredistance sampler set plus Delma, Liwa, Ambre 114, Lyric Woman, Taklamakan samples. That plus the Fath set on the way should keep me satisfied for a while.

I broke down and bought a perfume I've had my eye on for months. I purchased it for my upcoming birthday. It's Angel, Le Gout du Parfum, the one with accentuated cocoa powder. Actually, my husband is buying it for me.

I bought, for myself, Micallef Gourmet - the one with a big chestnut "flavor" to it. It is rather unusual. It's a four and a half star fragrance, to me. I found it for a very reasonable price, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

Today I purchased Aromatics Elixir because I'm revisiting some of my favorite old department store fare. I love the message printed on the box:

"Believed to have specific effects on the mind and spirit, this blend performs the role of perfume but goes far beyond. We believe fragrance is a daily experience. Enjoy it often, don't save it."

What a strange coincidence, I bought Angel Le Gout day before yesterday! I bought Alien Le Gout a couple of years ago and both Rick and I liked it so much, I thought I’d watch for Angel Le Gout and a fellow BN’er in Canada sold me his backup bottle.

Never tried the early formulation but I recalled liking the current formulation when I tried it a few years ago. Enjoy your bottle of Aromatics Elixir too!

I'd had it on my ebay watchlist for months now. I figured it might be the last birthday present I get for awhile, so I pulled the trigger.

It's better than original Angel, which I like; I just enjoy this version more. Micallef Gourmet is unusual. I need an oddball in my collection.
