For several days I've been craving sheer, lightweight, minimal scents. The kind that JC Ellena and Olivia Giacobetti do. I wore Bois Farine by L'artisan Parfumeur a couple days ago and forgot how awesome that nutty, bread smell is. Same with L'Eau d'Hiver by Frederic Malle - almondy water. I also want to get some Eau Passant to play around with - it has that cucumbery-wheat thing going on, underneath the lilacs. Today it's more of the same in the sweet almond woods of:

Jour de Fete by L'Artisan Parfumeur

Why oh why did they have to discontinue this? I could bathe in it. It instantly makes me feel good when it goes on - and it really does smell just like the taste of Jordan almonds. Which, when I eat them, are a bit too sweet for me - but the smell...it's the perfect amount of sweet. Heavenly stuff.

foxbins - I think I know the smell you're talking about (raking leaves) I have not-so-fond memories when I was a high-schooler (during my summertime job) landscaping in the Miami hot weather and raking endless piles of leaves. I bet the leaves in your neck of the woods smell better though.
