I took an awesome stroll along the beach boardwalk today (5 miles!) and then jumped in the surf. It was so restorative.

I'm wearing Aromatics Elixir from my new bottle. Not as powdery and beastly as I remember but I'm going to give it a chance. I distinctly remember the first time I smelled it in Macy's back in the day. I ended up going through many bottles.

    Happy birthday, kiliwia!

    Happy Birthday, Kiliwia!

Your afternoon sounds perfect, Mike! Good for you! What are your thought on the Musk Khabib attar vs the parfum extrait? The travel size of the extrait is on its way to me

The temps have really dropped — low 40s for the high today. I wore my thermal exercise gear and a fleece jacket and went for a 4 mile walk. It was awesome! I love cold weather exercise, as long as it’s not wet!

    I wore Gris Clair today.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite - I like both of them. The Extrait has more 'throw' and a louder floral element to it (in the Extrait the ylang is almost perfect...has that banana-custard thing that good ylang features). The Attar is much more subdued but also it's so strong (longevity-wise). I literally swipe it once and fold it into 1-pump of fragrance-free Body Lotion and OMG it lasts all day. I am working with a 1/2 ml glass vial of the attar (from a split). If I owned the full bottle of the Attar it would last me a long time. I feel like this is one of the best musk prominent scents I've ever smelled, perhaps only surpassed by Inverno Russo and Koh-i-Noor by Areej le Dore.

It ended up being a very pleasant afternoon also - we took the free electric mover train to the middle of Downtown Miami and saw the bay, walked to a fantastic BBQ restaurant and had a nice walk in the sun. Lot's of dogs, bikes, sunshine, blue skies - we even stumbled upon a trapeze troupe, in a fenced enclosed area, with an acrobat swing, a net - that for $20 let's you 'fly'...I loved watching visitors do that. I'm thinking maybe I'll do that for my birthday next month. It looks terrifying (I'm scared of heights) and also fun.

I'm in more sheer minimal woods (my craving hasn't subsided) in many sprays of this Giacobetti-Mysore-sandalwood-gem:
