Default Niche pine, cypress, coniferous suggestions?

I'm doing my annual sample haul on Luckyscent, and I really wanna stick to a green theme. Not necessarily old school like Polo, or Esencia, but also not opposed. Also not keen on stuff like Norne, although I love it, it's a bit too weird for wearing.

I like pine a lot, but have found few fragrances that contain an authentic pine note. Not so much pine wood or pine needles, but pine tree, like the smell of a Christmas tree. I also love cypress, vetiver, some woods, but the overly synthetics I try to avoid. I also love the smell of marijuana, especially the deep skunky kind.

All suggestions will be looked into. Thanks in advanced.

Please look at my wardrobe before recommending fragrances I have smelled.

I ordered some Luckyscent samples this year myself. I would consider looking into Rook Forest based on your theme. I also ordered the Goldfield and Banks discovery set, but haven't tried them out yet.

PERFUMES OF THE DESERT Pinon is essential. It's the best pine scent I've encountered.

Please share your discoveries in this thread. "Green" frags are a particularly appealing category for me.

I quite enjoy Every Storm a Serenade from Imaginary Authors--that has a spruce note. I've also sampled DS & Durga's Amber Teutonic which has a pine note. It's not a very aggressive scent, everything is a bit laid back, but I was quite tempted to purchase it. Check out Viride from Otto Parisi. And this is a very quirky odd one, but I've sampled it twice, and I know I'm going to get it someday. Against Nature by Timothy Han Edition Perfumes.

Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguilles is the perfect amount of pine and incense. The pine is not overbearing...nor does it smell like household cleaner. Just a fantastic mix of pine and incense.

I was expecting at the end of the order to be able to add 3 more samples, but I didn't have the option. I was definitely gonna add the Arso, that one looks awesome! I sent them an email about 3 additional samples that should be gratis, I have gotten them in the past anytime I do an order over $75.

My top recommendation for pine is Goutal Nuit Etoilee which doesn't get mentioned a lot here. On another thread someone said it was very much like Nome.... but I have never tried Nome. I can't see how Nuit Etoilee would be considered weird.... unless it was by someone that doesn't like pine or conifer scents.

If you are considering this route also consider vintage Halston Z-14. It's way cheaper and many say they are very comparable. I like z-14 better but others prefer IC.....

Another good suggestion. Very nice pine here but overall not as much a total wood scent as the others.

Agreed, this is a close second for me. Very nice scent. There is another OO one, Olympic Rainforest, that is quite nice also and kind of a first cousin to Tucson. I find Olympic Rainforest has slightly darker wood tones over time than Tucson. Also, my first thought for Tucson was more the dry/desert thing, but the inspiration is the high country evergreen forest..... not exactly a Christmas tree but in the ballpark.

To my nose i'm extremely satisfied with:

    - Creed Royal Oud
    - Tom Ford Vert D'Encens
    - Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Cypress

    for the cheaper ones:

    - 4711 Acqua Colonia Intense Wakening Woods of Scandinavia
    - Chopard - Noble Cedar

But i'm also in search for the ultimate green, piney fragrance, that's my recommendation so far...

The last time I ordered from LuckyScent, I had the option of getting 3 free samples. I included a 4th sample as an alternate just in case, and they still sent it to me. So..... I ended up with 4 free samples altogether. I'm curious to hear how you feel about the Rook fragrances, since it seems to a very under the radar house. I see you included Frank no. 2 as well. I find it nearly identical to vintage Michael by Michael Kors, but it's one that I'd consider perfect for fall. I have received good feedback on it. It has a bit of a retro feel, but certainly worth checking out if you are 30+. Thanks for posting your order and look forward to hearing your impressions.

Dansien’s Winter and Winter Nights are great coniferous pine scents. Nights has since smoke added to give the fireplace vibe to it. Very reasonably priced.

I actually just cancelled the order because they're not adding the samples they said they don't add samples on sample orders, which is ridiculous, because I've gotten it before. I really wanted to try Arso, but I'm not gonna get it since they're not adding the freebies. I'm just gonna venture out elsewhere I guess and acquire many of these samples on my own. It's deal killer for me.

Thanks for the recommendations. Also thanks for recommending frags I already have/have tried.
