I forgot to log a few new purchases—CDG Luxe Patchouli, some vintage Penhaligon’s Malabah, and

Angel Eau Sucrée, 2014 Edition, bought today. I’ve never actually smelled, it but I felt the sudden need for an Angel flanker, and this one has quite the reputation.

    One half-tola each:

    Red Safron
    Abdul al Samad Qurashi mix
    Hala December blend

All at the lowest tier. This is my first order from the ASQ store I don’t want a huge commitment up front. Hat tip to The Bark for his advice.

Oh, my goodness! Just read through this thread—one great scent after another. Because I did not buy any perfume in November I forgot to subscribe and almost missed it. Congrats, everyone!

I haven't bought anything in months, so I've gone a little nuts (for me) plus I love the sales at this time of year. I bought Narciso (white cube), VC&A Moonlight Patchouli, TF Bitter Peach, and Armani Prive Pivoine Suzhou. I smelled the Armani at the Chicago Basenotes meetup and wished I'd gotten it then, but better late than never.

Thanks, I'm really enjoying it. Bright sparkly neroli and I get oranges, almost fresh orange juice, with cardamom and amber. It's warm and bright at the same time, really loving it! I don't have anything else like it

My new bottle of Kerosene Winter of 99 arrived today (Friday). I ordered it on last Monday from the Kerosene website. Fast turnaround in my opinion.

A vintage bottle of Mouchoir de Monsieur by Guerlain - I have been missing this one in my Wardrobe. It has all of the things I love about many Guerlain scents, with a whole bunch of animalic growl in the base.

Juxtapozbliss, Winter of 99 is as tenacious and potent as you warned. Last evening, upon its arrival, I test sprayed one shot to the top of my hand. Now, the next morning, it has not faded at all. The smoldering vanilla is prominent and the overall feeling is a very dry "black" gourmand. The black effect must be the molasses and nutmeg. I also get the fleeting impression of an auto mechanic shop. I never tried Bulgari Black but there's a rubbery note that reminds me of descriptions of that perfume. The Kerosene house style is rugged, not smooth and I find that aspect enjoyable. Winter of 99 is no exception.

Does anybody else get a craving to wear their fresh citrus or aquatic heavy scents in the cold winter or is that just me? I feel like a lunatic but I can't help it. I just purchased two scents from CLEAN: The old bottle of Warm Cotton, and Cotton T-Shirt. I'll also be repurchasing a bottle of Air & Coconut Water Eau Fraiche as my bottle's sprayer stopped working yesterday.

I finally picked up a couple of bottles that have been on my wishlist forever:
    Frapin 1270
Serge Lutens Boxeuses (thanks to the Black Friday 25% off sale)

I also added two blind buys:
A travel size of Dusita Le Pavilion d’Or
The new Serge Lutens Fils de Joie

With the 25% off sale and everyone saying FdJ is a return to the Serge of old and his best release in years, I figured I couldn’t go wrong!

Yes, me too! I've already started wearing Chanel 19 as a palate cleanser and around mid-December I typically start up with white florals. I do grow weary of heavy orientals and gourmands after a while. Besides, I like wearing fragrances off season. I was wearing amber scents regularly last summer.

You're not alone, I do pull out the warm weather scents in the colder months when I have a craving.

Frapin 1270 is wonderful, my only complaint is the performance could be better. Have you tried L'Humaniste?

I'd be interested in knowing what you think of Fils de Joie.

I tried out a single spray on the back of my hand yesterday when I got it, definitely love at first sniff, and it's so delicious, bordering gourmand with the rum and immortelle. But so deep and rich at the same with the myrrh and tonka. I'm looking forward to trying it out properly today to see what the projection and longevity is like.
