I decamped to our country place on Thursday, so I’ve been running around since early last week, and not logging my perfume wears, and not posting here, either. I’m now pretty settled in, and City Kitty came with me, so now she’s Country Cat. She loves it here. The BF redid the bedroom here and it looks pretty darn sweet. He bought me a pink sparkly ombré mini Christmas tree last night at the local Walmart, so it’s the first bit of holiday related business I have done.

We’ve had a few warm days recently, so I’m taking a page from Jon’s book, and wearing Shaal Nur, hoping to attract a cold snap. The BF is wearing Tauer Attar AT in the same spirit. BRING IT

I've been comparing today 4 versions of Lolita Lempicka apples: EDP pre- and post-2010, Fleur de Minuit 2007 and Elixir Sublime. Wasn't able to test anything else today, as they still smell pretty strong.

I found this 10 dolla beauty today at the local Walmart, and shamelessly opened the package to give it a quick sniff. It smells like a fruitier Coco Mademoiselle, minus Chanel’s silky musk and good jasmine. A decent little fruitchouli imo. Here’s a picture, next to the pink ombré tree, with my new rose gold gloves. Hail Walmart!

If we have any (other, besides me) Tame Impala fans in the house, here’s a treat. They did a Deezer set in the Parc de la Villette next to Paris’s Museum of Science and Industry. I lived in the 19th Arrondissement for a while after college, right around the corner from the Museum,
and I used to love exploring its fantastic park grounds. My friends and I fantasized about throwing a big party there, with DJs and chill spaces, but it seemed like a pipe dream, at best. If we had managed to do such a thing, today, I would have done it exactly like this, with the big silver Géode in the background. I think this will upload properly.
