I agree with teardrop.
For today's sync I am wearing
TURBULENCES by Revillon, le parfum.
Notes are caraway, bergamot, mint, green notes, orris root, rose, nutmeg, carnation, tuberose, pepper, ylang ylang, lily of the valley, sage, cedarwood, sandalwood, amber, musk, vanilla, vetiver.

It has been here from the start so should stay here.
In Genera, I have noticed threads why did you wear what you did today etc? I think Synchronized would get lost there. It has been here 11 years now and both sexes post quite happily.
DONNA
Having browsed through my BN wardrobe, l've chosen Ashoka by Neela Vermeire for today, with its 24 notes. Although it's mainly mimosa to me.
Enjoy your kitchen synch day, khanada!

I'm wearing Red by Giorgio Beverly Hills. A late 80s bomb with 26 "notes".
I agree. It’s fine here.
When thinking about “kitchen sink” fragrances, the first one that came to mind is Must de Cartier (1981). I still don’t understand it very well, so I will wear it today. It was controversial because Diener combined green topnotes and galbanum with an amber structure and vanilla. Turin and Sanchez gave it one star and called it indigestible but I like it. I’m going to wear the vintage extrait and EDT and compare.
Must de Cartier has a complicated history. The original EDT was different from the original extrait and was subsequently replaced. And I believe that the current version (which I confess I haven’t tried) is a significant reformulation of the original, and most who appreciate the original find it inferior.
Curious to hear your thoughts on Must de Cartier...
Here’s a kitchen sink note list for the hell of it...
Galbanum, Brazilian Rosewood, Aldehydes, Bergamot, Lemon, Green Mandarin, Peach and Pineapple; middle notes are Leather, Vetiver, Carnation, Orris Root, Ylang-Ylang, Musk, Yellow Narcissus, Neroli, Rose, Jasmine and Orchid; base notes are Amber, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Civet and Vetiver
Opium by YSL.jpg
I count 35 - LOL
Spring is coming. Selecting from : Penhaligon's Elixir, Juniper Sling; Bottega Veneta Bottega Veneta pour Homme EdT, Bottega Veneta EdP; Etro Heliotrope, Gomma, Dianthus, Palais Jamais. Aramis Tuscany; Knize Knize Ten, Hermes Equipage (vtg), Bel Ami, Prada Infusion d'Iris. Decants/samples - various fougeres
I synched in Angel during the wee hours last night. I used to wear it in college, and I guess I’m over it.
Now on to Gucci Rush— which to me smells like a hair salon in the best way, and hits you like an opaque red bomb. I never really smell the notes they say are represented here, except maybe peach. I just smell Rush.
My only regrets in life are the people I haven't stood up for,
and the perfumes I've thrown away.
In sync with Havana
I have a vintage mini of Obsession so went with that for today's sync, following Cook.Bot's suggestion. This type of thing is normally the opposite of what I go for so I was expecting to hate it, but it's actually quite nice! The overall feel is quite soft and muted, it is not the big 80s spicebomb I was expecting; or maybe my tolerance for spicy orientals is greater than I thought it was. And it doesn't smell dated. Thanks Cook.Bot
Happy Friday everyone!
Another vote for keeping this thread where it is.
In synch with Donna Karan Black Cashmere. Lots of exotic woods, spice, and resins. It may not have the largest note listing but it sure smells busy, especially at first. It does quiet and smooth down the longer it sits on skin.

DONNA
Seems to be a trend.
I know that cross-posting is a No-No, but could some Moderator Magic be employed to list it in both the Female and the General forums?
You're most welcome, but I only listed it as a reference -- I personally can't stand the stuff!![]()
I changed my mind and went with this:
BFA0FFDA-441F-4192-8894-C4A71CDD055E.jpg
Raphael - Réplique
Top: aldehydes, Italian bergamot, Sicilian lemon, neroli, orange, clary sage, coriander, cardamom
Heart: clove bud, Egyptian jasmine, mimosa, lily of the valley, orris, Bulgarian rose, tuberose, ylang ylang, heliotrope
Base: incense, ambergris, olibanum, tonka, civet, leather, oakmoss, musk, patchouli, vetiver, vanilla
Though owning the masculine version of Giorgio Beverly Hills Red with its plethora of notes (not necessarily as a disadvantage, quite the opposite) still torn between this one and J del Pozo On El, another eclectic and highly diverse mashup of notes as its possible and likeliest competitor for the sync
Donna255 we are twins! I pulled out my bottle of Occur! last weekend In anticipation of the kitchen sync and then totally spaced it was Friday sync day till this evening. I’m glad to be wearing Occur! I don’t give it enough air time and I’m not sure why. The dry down just purrs. Here’s a pic of my splash bottle. Sorry it is sideways.

I love this fragrance in both extrait and the hour glass EDT. Thanks for reminding me to pull it out for a wear.
”I want all the perfumes”
Wow, that's a really good looking bottle, especially for an Avon. But I have a minor obsession with hobnail glass bottles.
I just checked, and Occur has an 87% positive rating here, which is kind of amazing for an Avon on Basenotes. Even cranky Jack Twist loves it.
I guess I'll have to check it out, despite the all the allusions to Youth Dew.

I had a leftover sample of Creed 2000 Fleurs, so I went with that.

You should definitely try it. I don’t think vintage Occur smells anything at all like Youth Dew. I think of Occur as a stepchild of Miss Dior.
And you don’t need to buy Occur in a frog, or a poodle (unless you want to, of course). I have these:

So what did you think?
I also love Réplique, especially the extrait. The note list seems a bit fanciful, as ever, but there is no denying that Réplique is a complex vintage blend, But I never get a “kitchen sink” vibe from it since all goes together so smoothly and harmoniously. I find it really showcases its oakmoss.
I need to wear again too (waves at Earlyn).
