FAVORITE(s) from PARFUMERIE GENERALE?

Would like to order some samples from the Parfumerie Generale line. It appears many complaints come from their sillage. I prefer dry skin-close scents, so this may not be an issue. Samples I likely will try below. Thoughts? Other preferences? Thanks.

1. Animal Mondain (2020) - can't find much of anything yet on this one
2. L'Eau Rare Matale
3. Harmatan Noir
4. Sorong
5. L'Eau Guerriere

From your list, I've only smelled Harmatan Noir which I own a bottle of. It's a fragrance I enjoy a lot (black tea + medicinal mint). If you ever get longevity issues, just spray it on your clothes and you'll get a couple more hours .

Others I liked from this house are Aomassai (own a bottle), Crime exotique and Anti-Blues (which is on my buy list after sampling it). I know people like Coze, Cadjmere and Grand Siècle. I want to sample Sambaka but distribution for their croisière collection is pretty bad...

What strikes me the most from the PG house is the quality of the blend and ingredients. If you don't mind the reduced longevity/projection (as I do), it's a great house to explore.

My favorites: Intrigant Patchouli 08 and Cozé 02

L'Ombre Fauve: animal fur & amber.

Cadjmere 18: creamy woods, citrus peel & chocolately vanilla.

For me these are both classy yet comforting.

Own almost all of their releases. Currently enjoy Sambaka and Aquindia.

I'm very fond of Intrigant Patchouli and the late lamented Cuir d'Iris.

Haven't smelt much of the range recently but I seem to recall a house 'pencil-shavings' note that I really like.

Agree! Thanks for all the input. There are more out there than I thought. Will need to hunt down another perfume site that has a larger inventory of this house for other samples.
