Let’s face it, it’s Aventus, or one of the similar offerings from high-end niche houses like Micellef who make Royal Vintage . I had worn approximately 200+ fragrances since my last Aventus wear, never got a reaction other than “that one is too strong”. Put on Aventus and everyone is complimenting me, ridiculous. And basically it owes its success to being a brutally masculine fragrance and certainly would be well matched to a charismatic guy.

The proof is right there in the definition you posted above, especially "inspires devotion in others".

There is no fragrance that inspires more obsessive devotion than Creed Aventus among its batch code junkies AND its haters. The batch code junkies definitely raise an eyebrow but the haters and the ridiculous caricatures cooked up in their minds, especially in reviews about people who wear Aventus, make the batch code junkies seem reasonable and rational in comparison. Don't believe me? Go read the negative reviews. By that measure Creed Aventus has charisma out the ass!

I have to agree as well. It's easily my most complimented frag from both men and women. It's my dumb reach for a date as well, especially a first date.
