I like the tart, almost smokey, forest-ey thing. It certainly isn't for everyone. I'll be spraying on a vintage that is before the modern ones sold today. The most modern vintage is kind of weak-sauce and is clearly reformulated to smell more crowd-pleasing. I am glad I bought an old mall-tester for $12 when I first bought Bijan for men because that old mall-tester that they wanted to get rid of is quite potent. Way more potent than the modern version I bought with a deodorant and post-shave balm I wanted. I'm surprised the reformulation is so different. The biggest difference is in the smokey note and the intesity of the pine. The newer version is a more 'clean' pine smell and not so offensively punchy. The old formulation is not shy about the old-school pine and it has 'punch' and chest hair going on.

I've only tried the vintage. There was something in the drydown that came off as pungent to my nose otherwise I might've thought better of it.

    02 L'Air du Desert Marocain

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."
