    Default Everday Office Recommendation Please

New to the forum so hello everyone.

I've been collecting fragrances for about a year now and really enjoying it.

I'm looking for a new fragrance that I can add to my daily office wear rotation.

I don't like weak, poor performing fragrances and most of my collection are not really suitable for every day use.

Can anyone recommend a good performing, versatile, fresh smelling fragrance that I can buy?

A lot of fragrances don't perform well on my skin however ones like Sauvage EDP, Dior homme intense, Aqcua di Gio Promufo, Spicebomb extreme perform very well and last 8+ hours. For example Versace Eros doesn't last long on my skin at all and I'm unsure why as a lot of people say it can fill a room.

Happy to pay more for a quality fragrance so any ideas would be appreciated

I was thinking of Creed Aventus however I'm a bit turned off by the fact that it is so common now. Plus I hear recent performance isn't great...

Based on things that perform well for you and with the cooler weather I’m experiencing, I’m going to recommend:

    - Givenchy Pi (small pi, although the newer batches are fine. The older are slightly more intense.)

    -Givenchy Gentlemen vintage

    -Chanel Egoiste vintage.

If you are against vintage stuff, then:

    -HdP 1725
    -Masculin Pluriel
    -Eaux des Baux
    -LDDM

Be careful not to overspray any of these if you’re in close quarters with others in your office as they could become choked out. The ones I listed are a few of many that I think you would find interesting, based on what you like and what performs well for you. There are a ton of other fragrances than could fit as well, and certainly a lot more that fit the office criteria. You’ll likely get several vetivers recommended, like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. Best wishes.

    Welcome to the forum

Let's see here, you are looking for a strong, fresh everyday frag that isn't popular like Aventus. No problem...

This is just a fragcomm bias. Most everyone else has no real interest or clue in frags. Personally, I think Green Irish Tweed is the perfect work frag. Aventus is a bit too loud as the projection can be wild.

Dior Homme (2020). People around here hate it because Dior used the name 'Homme' for this one, but I think it smells great and I wear it to the office at least once a week. Performance is really good (10+ hours). It doesn't project huge, but somehow it leaves a really good scent trail, especially if you spray the back of your neck or arms.

Dior Homme Sport. Doesn't get a huge amount of love, but it has good longevity especially on clothes. Very versatile and good year round.

Creed Viking, if you want to spend more.

But I would definitely sample the first two.

Thanks for the reply! I did Try TF Grey Vetiver once in a store however only on a testing card. I'll definitely give this another try though when I'm next in the store. Heard good things about Egoiste as well so will try that too

I'd say I've only scratched the surface of fragrance collecting so I haven't really delved into vintage ones however it's something I definitely want to learn more about

SmellyD, speckman, and PrinceRF all have great suggestions here.
I go with Polo for most of my office work days.
ADG Profumo, already in OP's wardrobe is a great pick as well.

Thanks for the replies all, it is appreciated.

speckmann0706 - Thanks for the very thorough list, there are quite a lot on there that I haven't tried so will check them out!

I have Blue De Chanel Parfum which I like a lot however will pick up the Eau De Toillette at some point. Someone I know wears it and it definitely smells lighter than the Parfum.

cologne connoisseur - Thanks, will also try

hellbentforleather - I get what you mean about bias. I was actually going to pick a bottle of Aventus up in the Black Friday Sale however ended up buying Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille instead. Safe to say I probably won't be wearing that to the office. Heard good things about Irish Tweed so I'll give that a go.

cologne connoisseur - thanks, I'll also try Spice and wood

smellyD - I have DH intense which I love and haven't tried DH, I'll definitely try it

Francolino - nice choice, I've had this before and I liked it!

I'll definitely give Viking a try too.

Hopefully I'll start to learn more about niche fragrances too. My partner thinks I've gone crazy after starting to collect frags!

Honestly I think you'd be fine wearing Tobacco Vanille in the office during the cooler months if you go light on the sprays, but it depends upon your office culture I suppose.

A few others to consider, pleasant and not sexy. (Conservative)

    Caron 3rd Man
Grey Vetiver (edp, it’s not bad, just not great)
    Heritage edt
    Dior Eau Sauvage (longevity sucks)
    Prada Carbon
    Mugler Cologne
The One edt or edp (a bit more daring, but I believe it’s office safe)

    Old school

    Varvatos Vintage
    Versace L’homme
    Boss Number One

    So many more
