Who has broken a bottle of cologne/perfume and what was it
Was taking a bottle of cologne to the office to get ready for sale and shipping and it fell out of my hands and hit the garage floor. Even was in the box that it came with. Well, can't tell wife but she will smell it this evening when she gets home, as it scents up our enclosed garage,
The cologne? A 200ml bottle of MFK Cologne Pour le Soir.

Bijan Men Splash. It broke at the neck the first time I tried to use it. I had an empty bottle that was the same size, 75 ml, so now I have Bijan for Men in a Chanel bottle.

1 week after my wife and I moved into a new house...heard a crash in the bathroom. A trendy wall shelf proved to be improperly mounted.
100 ml Lost cherry
50 ml Tobacco Vanille
As both were near full....This was an expensive one week room scenting.

A few leaky Polo bottles depressing but easily replaceable I should have checked each one with every purchase hehe.

Luckily I haven’t broken anything myself, but I did once receive a package from FragranceNet that included a Montale Black Aoud sample that had been crushed to bits. The entire hallway in front of the mailboxes smelled like Black Aoud for a few days, along with my apartment and trash can.

Ouch - that MFK is a big loss! Fortunately, I haven't broken any bottles, but I have dropped and broken a couple of glass decants.

I put it over my bag, in the locker, at the gym, in the top drawer, above my head. I forgot about it. After finishing the training I pulled the bag, at which point the bottle had fallen to the floor and broken to pieces.
I didn't like it, but it was a sentimental gift. I was almost glad it broke.

Tile floor. immediately mopped up.
The lost cherry was potent for a week. Interestingly, the TV was overpowered and could barely be detected.

The only bottle I've broken was Escada Magnetism.
This was early in the hobby for me, and it was something of a signature at the time. I dropped it on the bathroom floor. I never did replace it, and by the time thought about it, it had been discontinued and the scalping had begun. I bought a mini to sniff out of nostalgia, and that's fine.
Another time, while moving, I was (stupidly) trying to move a tray with fragrances on it. My bottle of Creed Vetiver '48 fell off and landed on the wooden floor. I nearly had a heart attack. It's a favorite vetiver and was already a unicorn at that point. Luckily, there was just a chip on the thick glass around the bottom of the bottle.

I can see that.
Fortunately I haven't broken a bottle yet.
Would be a nightmare for me as I also wash up my fragrances when I go to bed.
If your whole home smells like perfume I wouldn't want to stay there.
I even thought about how some guys like Carlos aka Brooklyn Fragrance Lover or Joy Amin can sleep next to hundreds of bottles without boxes, which will certainly leave a certain smell in the air (besides them spraying already lots of perfume there for their videos).
I couldn't handle that, otherwise would probably get olfactory fatique very soon.

I keep all my bottles in my home office (some on a bookshelf and some in a closet) and surprisingly, the room has only the faintest whiff of fragrance, even when I walk in after the door as been closed for hours/days. It's there, but nearly imperceptible. I don't like strong ambient smells either, and it's never bothered me or even been something I've thought about.

I have mine in a closet with glass doors.
When I open it, I smell something and there aren't even 100 bottles in it.
That's why I find it difficult to imagine that you can't smell that in the room when there are really hundreds of perfumes and 10 different ones are sprayed into the air every day.
I also clearly smell when I enter a perfumery that there is such a mish-mash scent in the air.
I just think that it will smell like that at home of some Youtube reviewers.

Yeah, I think consistently spraying a lot would definitely have a lasting effect. And, when I open the closet, I do get more of a scent in the confined space with no air movement, compared to the larger room with the rest of the bottles.

Zino Davidoff way back... Damaged and leaking from the package onto the car seat. The cacophony that ensued, children screeching, women screaming, birds flopping, dogs howling, mules braying, priest praying. Oh man, love turned to hate and coincidentally haven't bought it since... Obviously. memories tend to be tall over time.

Did receive a bottle of a SANTAL NOBLE once that was cracked in shipping. Really trashed.
The retailer sent new bottle.
Between Covid and retirement I don't get out much. But when I do, I smell real good.

For sure.
A bottle of Azzaro Pour Homme. In my high school hallway (it fell when I took it out of my locker). In the middle of the day. The entire wing smelled like cologne for weeks, thanks to me. I can't quite shake that olfactory association whenever I smell APH these days

Wife smelled the garage and asked if I broke a bottle. I came clean. She said it smelled better in the garage than on me
